Cleveland police are searching for a man accused of assaulting a 18-month-old girl who was so severely beaten that she was hospitalized,
police said Saturday in a press release.
Cleveland police identified the man as 29-year-old Daniel Belcher.
The girl suffered multiple fractures, broken ribs, punctured lungs and a lacerated liver, police said. The child’s mother, Yeasha Wagner, was arrested at the hospital, police said.
Belcher is 6-feet-1-inch and weighs 160 pounds, police said. He also uses the names Christopher Davis and Daniel Hough.
Belcher is not the father of the toddler.
