My husband drives like an old man lol I have never seen him take his hands off of 10 and 2 in my life. I read all these stories of men leaving babies in cars and drinking and driving and in the case roads raging with innocent kids in a car. I love my husband but I love my kids more and if he put them in danger there would be no,safe place for him on Earth.
 
Just read this in my local news. This is unacceptable when you have your babies in the car.

Jonell Tafoya was taking her 15-year-old daughter home via I-40 and remembers seeing the two cars engaged in a fight. It appeared as though the father was deliberately trying to keep the car from passing him as they argued, she said, describing it as the “truck really egging it on.”

“The red truck was kind of swerving to keep the red car behind them,” Tafoya said. “When we were leaving the overpass, I said ‘Something bad is going to happen from this.’ ”

Looking back, Tafoya believes the girl’s father should not have been driving so dangerously. At the same time, nothing justifies the suspect pulling out a gun, Tafoya added.

I cannot fault these parents. Not yet. Their beautiful, precious baby girl was suddenly snatched away. I cannot say how I would even react or appear to others, if God Forbid, i was ever faced with life without my mini.
However, I am sure that there are not enough sedatives in the world to begin to allow make my actions make any sense to anyone at all. None. Nope. Even thinking about it is too much.

I WILL LOSE MY FUCKING MIND IF VIDEO OF THIS SURFACES!!! IF there is video of this- it is EVIDENCE, and should have been immediately been turned over. Right after they called 911 from that same phone. Omg.

That being said, if someone has a video of this and didn't immediately help the police find that fucker... Omggggg.

I don't know why so many people are getting worked up about the money, it seems the higher it goes the less compassion goes.

One thing everyone needs to keep in mind, the go fund me $$$ is people donating, they can read and watch the news and the money is still pouring in.

2 and 4? 12 and 9? Sorry I'm not from the states and I don't get some of your sayings right... Most the time lol I also really suck at remembering correct lyrics to songs. JUST LIKE A ONE WINGED DOVE, SING A SONG SOUNDS SOUNDS LIKE SHES SINGING!!! For years I had a mental image of this poor bird is flying in circles.

Lol when one if my kids was 4 he was running around singing "joy to the bitches in the deep blue sea, joy to you and me". I wanted to know what exactly they were teaching in bible school.

The highter the go fund me, the crazier you are getting. You disliked that 28 yrars ago my son at the age of 4 mistook the words in a song.
Again, if you donated nothing, what have you lost? I can do that math for you, nothing. So why are you getting so worked up?

Donations are because of a con, many donations are coming because of the father's lies. People don't realize his involvement in his daughters death

If you have not donated then why are you upset? Nothing was taken from you. As you know, people who make up a catastrophe and then solicit money get charged with a crime. So if this is a con like you are saying, the law will take care of it.
Because you see it differently than the thousands of people that have donated doesn't mean you're right and if other people have donated, how is it hurting you?

This wasn't a catastrophe, this was manmade and lied about, creating a profit for the liar involved

This whole site is based on emotions !!! . everyone giving their opinions and many times not everyone agrees...what makes this one different ?.as far as I know Not 1 member who is a regualar here has been involved personally in ANY of these horror stories .. BUT we all still get upset and involved ..so I am a lil confused as to why we had to of donated money to have the right to be upset.. Jmo..

I get upset that chilldren are dieing by the actions of people who are suppose to be protecting them ... their not my kids .. Is that wasted emotions because they still keep dieing .? ...I get upset when people are lied to .. But they are not lieing to my face.. And I can't stop them ..so again a wasted emotion.?.I get upset when animals or the elderly are abused.. But I personally have never met them.. But I get upset ..is that a wasted emotion ? ..I could go on because being human with a heart means that I have all kinds of opinions and emotions ..I've read many of your post and you seem to be a pretty good human with a heart filled with emotions and opinion and although you may not be upset with people lieing in order to receive money .. You have spent a lot of time being upset that others are upset over it ..is that a wasted emotion ? .. No it is not ..it makes you human ..we don't have to agree or even like what everyone else else feels ..

Update...

Sounds like the police are still stating that the shooter was the instigator of driving aggression, to which her father responded with a gesture and swore at him. Whether or not that's accurate I guess time will tell.

I was right that the guy has a prolific criminal history, but of course it doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess that. :meh: There were multiple failed chances for him to be locked up, but they were all dismissed.
Torrez, who police say confessed to shooting Lilly Garcia after a lane dispute with her father, has been tied to violent crimes in New Mexico dating back a decade, but all the cases were dropped, including a 2006 fight in which he was charged with aggravated battery and assault. A grand jury indictment said Torrez assaulted another man with a handgun and applied force to a woman with the weapon or touched her with it, intending to injure her.

The only crime for which he's been prosecuted was a misdemeanor speeding violation in 2013. :shifty:

Around that time, charges including abandonment or abuse of a child and aggravated battery of a household member were dismissed for lack of evidence. Prosecutors also were not able to proceed with 2006 domestic violence charges.

Not only do I PERSONALLY know a few of the people featured in the threads here, my sons father is now married to and has a baby with someone who was featured here a few years back... FOR HORRENDOUS SHIT.
Imagine my horror, upon learning who he was dating Googling her name and seeing my beloved DD as the 3rd link. :eek::eek::eek:

Months of anxiety and panic. Overwhelming fear. And court proceedings ...
I am finally coming to peace with it all.

DD has been my happy place for almost 2years now.. BEFORE my ex and i even split up. Before he got with her. The support and love that some of our members have shown me is absolutely astounding.. We really are a great group of people here. But yes, some of us are personally involved here. Obviously not by choice, but well you know ... Life is like a box of chocolates? :shame:

I can't even imagine coming across an article here about someone you now closely! Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that. :(

However, I agree that it's a great group here. I've been hooked for a long time now. It's a little weird that our happy place is a den of awful stories, it's very hard to explain to others (my man thinks I'm nuts), but I can't help it... it's my happy place too. :D
