Ok, serious question for a sec. I have my tongue and belly button pierced, both require a ball to secure. What keeps the ones in ur face on? Inquiring minds would like to know....
Or? They could just be fake stick ons...(I have a few sub-dermals..) I also have been putting things in peoples flesh since the 90's, (Hard to believe, but as someone mentioned, as far as cheek piercings, they are just that...Piercings using a barbell, or...more accurate, a 'labret' stud, you know, a barbell but only has a captive bead on the inside, and a flat, beveled 'backing')
Now, I looked at this pic closely, and noticed that her 'nasion' piercing (Between the eyes)is very red, and also missing the other 'ball', which means it is not pierced in the traditional definition. If she does have subdermals? Then they should lose their license, as it is a well known fact that you can NOT put a subdermal anywhere near that close to the eye sockets. They will reject (Notice the redness around her nasion? This just makes me think it is barely hanging in there, which happens when you do a dermal piercing (like my Madison--through the neck) there is a large chance that those whom are not well-studied, or don't know how to take care of a piercing of that surface (also includes cheeks) will migrate, or just plain infect, and fail.
Let us view 'Vampire woman' for example: You can see where she has her sub-dermals (and her multiple Nasions)also take not that she has healthy piercings...no mess, no redness, and then her eyes. Notice the lack of sub-dermals directly in her very thin skinned eye sockets? Take notice how hers are placed at the industry safety measure of keeping them at least an inch, or so, away from her eyes.
All one needs to do to see the logic here is feel under your eye...There is muscles, membrane, and tear ducts. I don't know ONE Body Modificationist that would risk someones eyesight.
I say they are the 'temporary' glued on kind.
(Man, why do I still know about this shize!?)
