A 27-year-old stepfather charged with child abuse last month, now faces four additional charges of child abuse under Haley’s Law.
William Arizona Vannasdale, who was investigated after his 6-year-old step-son came to school with a black eye, was originally arrested in early December for child abuse and neglect.

Further investigation by local law enforcement has resulted in four additional child abuse charges involving four children.
According to the affidavits of complaints filed by Macon County Detective Robert Jacoby, Vannasdale locked the victims in their rooms so they could not use the restroom or eat, refusing to feed them more than once a day.

He is accused of making each child use the restroom in their bedroom in a hole that was cut into the floor.
In some cases, it states Vannasdale would chase the children into their rooms with a knife to lock them inside.

He is also accused of severely beating one of the children, slamming her into the walls and floor, beating another child until he lost consciousness and grabbing another child by the back of her head and hair and lifting her off the floor.
Haley’s Law makes it a Class A felony to contribute to the abuse of a child who is under the age of nine, in a way that leads to injury. \

A Lafayette couple is being charged with child abuse following an investigation into a 6-year-old who came to school with a black eye.

According to reports filed by Detective Robert Jacoby of the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, he received a Department of Children’s Services referral on December 7, 2023, regarding a 6-year-old boy that came to school with a black eye.
While speaking with the juvenile, officers were told his ‘dad,’ stepfather 27-year-old William Arizona Vannasdale, hit him in the eye.

Officer Jacoby, accompanied by DCS, went to the victim’s residence to speak with his mother, 27-year-old Toni Nicole (Beasley) Vannasdale, and four siblings.
One sibling stated that Mr. Vannasdale had struck the victim with a closed fist.

Upon inspection of the Wilderness Lane home, it was infested with bed bugs and roaches, and the children were living in extremely poor conditions. Windows were busted out of the residence and large portions of the floor and ceiling were missing.
Bed bug bites were also found on the victim’s arms.

It was determined after speaking with the mother, she knew that all five of the children were being abused by her husband, yet never reported it and failed to protect her children.

William Vannasdale was taken into custody and charged with child abuse & neglect and attachment. His bond was set at $41,000.

Toni Vannasdale was charged with child abuse & neglect and failure to report child abuse. Her bond was set at $50,000.

I bet she's wondering how her bond is higher than his.

She looks so stupid, I bet she's wondering about all things on earth

The article doesn't even mention the SA he committed against 2 young girls. And she's not innocent at all, she knew what was going on and protected him, putting her children in that situation. Not to mention that they starved the children, kept them locked in the one bedroom with no AC or heat, but had AC in their own room, and sold their EBT for cigarettes and drugs. He also always bragged about getting his ex's boyfriend arrested for assaulting him when he was the one who started it. She also constantly put her children in danger by letting people stay with them who she knew were on drugs and abused children. Neither of them have any redeeming qualities, and their parents aren't any better tbh. They both deserve the worst of the worst. He's currently living it up in jail, safe with the rest of the SOs while his mother keeps feeding him money.

That took a long time to approve, @boldofyou, and I apologize for that.

I was looking to see how long their sentences were. Georgia's DOC web site is down so I couldn't look them up there. I also found a group of pay sites where I could look them up For A Small Fee -- that continues on in perpetuity.

As far as the info on the kiddy fiddling, I can think of a couple of reasons why that wasn't available. For the most part, we here only have a view of a given situation based on what news organizations, the courts, and prosecuting attorneys choose to release. It may be that the police or the prosecutor chose not to release the information about the child rapes he is accused of in order to protect the victims. Or it could be the news outlets decided there were more pressing stories to cover and spiked these based on that decision.

In any case, welcome. It sounds like you know a lot more than what's been in the papers. I, for one, look forward to any information you choose to share.:
