The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is suing the Indiana Department of Corrections on behalf of a transgender inmate, Jonathan C. Richardson, also known as Autumn Cordellionè, who was convicted of strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in 2001.

A recent Indiana law, adopted July 1, prohibits the Department of Corrections from using taxpayer dollars to fund sex reassignment surgeries for inmates. However, the ACLU argues in the lawsuit, filed on Aug. 28, that the law is a violation of the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition of "cruel and unusual punishment."

The surgery for Richardson, who is serving out a 55-year prison sentence for reckless homicide, "is a medical necessity," according to the ACLU lawsuit.

The filing also states Richardson was diagnosed in 2020 with gender dysphoria and prescribed female hormones and testosterone blockers, both of which he has "consistently taken since that time." Other accommodations provided for the inmate include "panties, make up, and form fitting clothing."

Approve its surgery for the day after the dead kid gets their wisdom teeth out.
That seems fair to me.
No accommodations for convicted felons should ever be made in a prison setting.
It's about losing Rights and Freedoms, not about a continuing free ride

I'll bet once done, @Metalfan might wanna date etch-a-sketch.

I'm all for prisoner rights, depending what they're in for. If it's something sexual or violent, no fucking surgeries aside from tooth extractions. The panties and makeup are accommodating enough for this lazy eyes piece of shit.
Well said.

Denial of an elective surgery is not "cruel and unusual" punishment.

The difference of Lashawn Thompson's incarceration conditions and this, in the context of c & u, is a universe apart.

The ACLU is important, but I don't agree with their reasoning or efforts sometimes.

Here's the (excuse the next word) rub.

This is idiotic.

Sex reassignment will not undo what's he done. It won't prevent him from doing it again.

Prison is a punishment. When did it become a reward?

He shouldn't be coddled - his being born male and wanting to be female isn't the reason he was sentenced in the death of his stepdaughter.
If that's the case, then he caused the child's death because he can do it better than a woman.

Drag (again forgive me) his ass back into court and resentence him to death.

Transgender Muslim inmate serving 55 years for killing baby files $150K lawsuit for not being allowed to wear hijab

A transgender inmate serving a 55-year sentence for strangling her 11-month-old stepdaughter to death filed a civil lawsuit against the prison chaplain for allegedly prohibiting her from wearing a hijab outside her immediate bed quarters, despite identifying as Muslim.

Autumn Cordellionè, also known as Jonathan C. Richardson, is currently serving out her sentence at the Branchville Correctional Facility, an Indiana Department of Correction state prison for men.

According to the lawsuit filed Nov. 30 and obtained by Fox News Digital, a prison chaplain told Cordellionè the hijab was not allowed to be worn outside her immediate bed area.

Cordellionè is seeking $150,000 in damages and the ability to wear the hijab “anywhere I go within the facility.”

“I informed him that I wear the hajib [sic] in order to cover my head and ears for modesty purposes, as I am an Islamic practicing transwoman,” Cordellionè said in the lawsuit.

A federal judge has ruled that it would be unconstitutional for an Indiana prison to deny a transgender inmate sex reassignment surgery following the inmate's lawsuit against the facility.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the Indiana Department of Corrections last year on behalf of a transgender inmate, Jonathan C. Richardson, also known as Autumn Cordellionè, who was convicted of strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in 2001.

Indiana law, however, prohibits the Department of Corrections from using taxpayer dollars to fund sex reassignment surgeries for inmates. However, the ACLU argues in the lawsuit, filed on Aug. 28, 2023, that the law is a violation of the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition of "cruel and unusual punishment."
The surgery for Richardson, who is serving out a 55-year prison sentence for reckless homicide, "is a medical necessity," according to the ACLU lawsuit.

Judge Richard Young agreed with the ACLU's claims and ruled in favor of Cordellioné last week.
"Specifically, Ms. Cordellioné has shown that her gender dysphoria is a serious medical need, and that, despite other treatments Defendant has provided her to treat her gender dysphoria, she requires gender-affirming surgery to prevent a risk of serious bodily and psychological harm," the ruling states.

The DOC must now take "all reasonable actions" to ensure Cordellioné undergoes sex surgery, according to the order.https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/us-regions/midwest/indiana
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, a Republican, said in a post on X that his office is still reviewing the judge's decision, "but you can undoubtedly expect our office to appeal this decision."

"An Indiana inmate convicted of murder wants our taxpayers to fund their gender-altering surgery! Hoosiers do NOT want thism" Rokita said.
According to court documents, Cordellioné strangled his then-wife’s 11-month-year old daughter to death while she was at work on Sept. 12, 2001. During RCordellioné's initial interview with one of the detectives, he was calm and "unemotional" when recounting what happened, court documents from Indiana's Court of Appeals show.

He is not actually doing a 55 year sentence his projected release date is 08/27/2026.

If he has not had any disciplinary issues he will be released with his man made vagina in 2 years.

Why was this not important to him when he was free and he could have made all of the arrangements himself? I think most mainstream Muslim clerics would not recognize him as a Muslim woman. Unless he’s working as a tattoo artist he would not be hired in the corporate world. Perhaps customer service, working remotely! Unless he’s wearing a covering over his face with eye openings he could have a hard time finding employment.

"Hurry! Quick! We need to give her serious bodily and psychological harm that affirms her gender identity, so that he doesn't give herself serious bodily and psychological harm that doesn't affirm it!"

This man who killed an 11-month-old child is certainly working hard to both game the system as much as possible, and make himself a perennial victim. It's extremely unfortunate that there are people who, due to their careers, have to go to bat for this creep, and that his existence has become this much of a crass and cheap and illegitimate spectacle.

And remember, everyone, as I said in the last comment: ACLU is going out of their way to defend this man's proclivities, trying to pass them off as his "human rights". Standing up for a child murderer in the name of "social justice" and "equity". Have anyone at the ACLU given even one thought to the baby he strangled to death, who would have otherwise been turning 24 this year?

Remember, everyone, that these are the type of stances ACLU is making. And boy, is it a poor one. This is one of multiple reasons why I believe the ACLU are among the worst civil rights organizations in America, and why I'll never support them.

A federal judge has ordered the Indiana Department of Corrections to arrange urgent “gender affirming surgery” for a trans-identified male convicted of murdering a baby. In a shocking decision handed down last week, Judge Richard Young ruled that Autumn Cordellioné, born Jonathan Richardson, was suffering from “irreparable harm” from not having the various plastic surgeries he had requested, despite the fact that a psychiatrist testified that Richardson was not suffering from gender dysphoria.
The order is the latest update in a lengthy case that Richardson first filed in 2023 with the assistance of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The suit was intended to challenge House Bill 1569, which took effect in July of 2023 and bans the spending of state dollars on sexual reassignment surgery for inmates. The bill, the ACLU argues, “mandates deliberate indifference to a serious medical need and therefore violates the Eighth Amendment.”
In the suit, ACLU lawyers refer to Richardson as an “adult transgender female prisoner confined in a male institution,” and complains that “the total ban on gender-affirming surgery violates [his] right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment.”
Among a list of demands prepared by Richardson and presented as evidence in court was a document titled “Surgeries to Reach My Ideal Self.” The first item on the list, the court heard, was a “vagina,” followed by: breast implants, a brow lift, a brow reduction, a tummy tuck, gluteal implants (BBL), a uterus transplant, hair removal, and wigs.
However, during court proceedings Richardson stated that he had amended his demands to two surgeries, an orchiectomy and a penile inversion. In September of 2024, the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) was ordered to arrange the surgeries, but quickly encountered issues as the only provider of “gender affirming” surgery in the state refused to accept incarcerated patients.
IDOC later filed a motion to further challenge Richardson’s demands and the ACLU’s claims, this time entering testimony from an independent psychiatrist they had retained to offer a comprehensive analysis of Richardson’s preparedness for surgery.

After meeting with Richardson to perform an evaluation, Dr. Kelsey Beers concluded that Richardson was not suffering from gender dysphoria, but instead had “attention seeking” personality disorders that were not indicated for any medical interventions.

I want the federal judge to be ass raped a thousand times and maybe they will understand the pain that the baby this monster killed endured.

Women should stop being organ donors because a transformer may end up with your uterus.

This is SO wrong!

When did prisons start catering to prisoners?

Society doesn't pay for this! If he wants to chop it off, give him a butter knife.

Other accommodations provided for the inmate include "panties, make up, and form fitting clothing."

Who wants to see him in form fitting clothes?

Trans baby killer filed $3.5M lawsuit against Trump for ‘transphobic’ views that led to alleged sexual assaults behind bars

A transgender woman convicted of killing her infant filed a handwritten lawsuit against President Trump, claiming his “transphobic hate speech” fueled repeated instances of sexual assault she endured at an all-male prison in Indiana.

Autumn Cordellionè, also known as Jonathan C. Richardson, alleged that the president’s “extremist rhetoric” emboldened her assailants to violently assault and rape her in January shortly after she was transferred from protective custody to Westville Correctional Facility to serve out her 55-year sentence.

She said Trump is “negligent due his alleged knowledge that others may act on his words,” the baby killer scribbled in the 13-page suit filed in the Southern District of Indiana on April 1.

He wants to be his ideal self. I want to be my ideal self, too. Do you think the ACLU will take up my case to be what I want to be: 5 foot 8 and Miss America, now that would be my ideal self.

This shit is stupid.
Exactly.
Prisoners are suffering from things like inadequate care for diabetes or cancer, but sure, we should focus on getting boob jobs to inmates for their self esteem!

I'm thinking the murder of a baby thing is what's getting you attacked, prisoners have a caste system, the lowest of the low are the baby killers. In essence, HE'S THE REASON HE'S GETTING ASS RAPED, not Trump. Buy I don't know, I'm just logic-ing over here... :banghead:

Here's a reminder of the types of people too much of the woke left chooses to support or at least tolerate way too much of:

1. An inmate convicted of baby murder who claims to be transgender and exhausts the legal system to whine about being a victim.
2. MS-13 gang members and other career criminals who are in the USA illegally, and inevitably causing preventable chaos.
3. Hamas terrorists who raped, hostaged, and massacred innocent, unexpecting concertgoers at a music festival.
4. Adults who overzealously teach meaningless sexuality-based labels, including fake pronouns, to children.
5. People who want Trump, Musk, and others in their circles assassinated; actively threaten said parties; and are angry that the previous attempts against Trump were unsuccessful.

So, yeah. Good luck with getting those votes, Dems! The...

...sure radiates from them, doesn't it?

Cubby, I would applaud the aclu if they did that for you!! But making this tatted face Mr Richardson into a “woman” Absolutely NOT !! Now if he had a bad heart (he’s killed an innocent baby) he has a bad heart and they should just remove it , that I would say we could pay for!! If he’s truly sick treat him, why didn’t he fix his gender issues while he was free??

Here’s something from the not-so-woke left. This is bullshit and Trump has nothing to do with it.

While they do have somewhat of castes, the BoP does a very good job of not letting this stuff get out to the general population and/or housing people that have committed similar offences at the same locations. They can't afford lawsuits from family members of people that are targeted because of the nature of the crime. That falls under "cruel and unusual punishment". A lot of people would like to think "prison justice" is a thing, but it isn't that common at all. Take the case of Whitey Bulger, a lot of people were happy that happened, but it was an outlier, not the norm.

The BoP will "protect" prisoners because that is part of their job, this idiot is just digging his own grave by making himself so well-known/visible.

I agree. But they would protect him just the same from alleged ass rapings because of Trump too. This is just another bullshit lawsuit filed by a professional victim. All I'm saying is IF any occurred, he only has himself to blame. ;)
