Investigators said it is a horrific case of child abuse in Carroll County that saw five family members charged.

The investigation began when one child escaped. A 14-year-old girl was able to find someone who took her to the police station and told them what was happening to her and her brother and sister.

Arrest warrants show the three siblings were often punished by being forced to "carry a book bag filled with bricks" while cleaning the house or doing yard work.

Food was often withheld, investigators said.

"The victim who ran away said she had to eat out of the dog's bowl to be able to get food," said Ashley Hulsey the Carroll County spokesperson.

Investigators said there were cameras set up throughout the house and according to warrants, the teenage boy "was placed under surveillance camera for hours at a time" in a sparse bedroom.

"There was a mattress and a bucket. He'd be locked in for hours on end and would have to use the bathroom in the bucket," said Hulsey.

The foster parents, Edward and Elizabeth Holmes, were charged with a number of felonies including child abuse.

Their adult children, Brianna, Edward Junior, and Andrew, who also lived in the home were also arrested for aiding in committing child abuse.

"At no time when the parental figures were out of the house did any of them try to nurture the children or get help for the children, or provide for the children," said Hulsey.

All three siblings have been placed in new foster homes and are said to be doing well.

Betting these are adopted, foster, or basically any other than the seed of their loins. Two big monsters created 3 more, way to go.
The kids... Demon spawn, they are.

You can see it in the face of the middle kid.
In fact, the is such a close resemblance among all of them makes me think there's a lot of inbreeding going on...
Where's granddad and memaw?

Who the fuck approved these monsters as foster parents and who the hell was supposed to be checking in on the children? Where is the god damn accountability for the people in charge of ensuring the safety of the most vulnerable of society? And why am I asking stupid questions when I know the answers…

Your questions are not stupid. I have the same questions! There are grown adults out there being paid salary plus benefits and not doing shit all for that money. Before anybody whines that they have way too many cases to tend to each one… I’m tired of hearing it. They need to collectively Do Something to help the very system that stifles the few good ones and allows the majority ones who are lazy and are dead souls to bide their time and collect a paycheck!!! Those of you who work in that field, DO SOMETHING!!!! These poor kids were already in foster care! It goes without saying that just being in foster care will scar their little souls and cause soul searching questions for the rest of their lives. Now these 5 fugly mother fuckers commit long term child abuse??? How could the three young people turn a blind eye to so much suffering?!?! Lock them up and throw away the key!!! As a society, why would we want any of them back among society?? Last note: notice that the end of the article says this:
All three siblings have been placed in new foster homes and are said to be doing well
HomeS. Plural word. It means more than one home. So the three horribly abused siblings finally escaped the five fugly monsters. Now they are going to be separated from each other??? It just can’t keep getting worse!!!
A great big F for Failure goes out to Carroll County, Georgia, outside of Atlanta, social workers!!! Losers!!!

So they accepted funding from the state for the children’s care but instead starved them? Brave girl to go to authorities, she may have saved their lives! These programs need more oversight. Could the Foster children bring a civil suit against them and take their assets?
Oooohhhh. Great idea!!! I hope those three kids sue the pants off Carroll County, Georgia!!!
I am pretty sure the three kids that were charged were most likely abused their entire life as well either that or just a family of psychos
I am sure you are right. The three grown adults, the adult children of Edward and Elizabeth Holmes, were abused their whole lives too. That is almost certainly the reason all three of them still live at home with Mommy and Daddy. But NO excuses!!! They know what it was like growing up and being abused viciously by their two monsters!!! Once they reached the age to think for themselves, they are guilty morally and legally for not helping the younger kids out and not taking the steps necessary to end the suffering. I am glad the cops are throwing the book at all 5 of these adults. Good riddance. Stay there.

Look at the son in the middle picture. Now look at the mother... I can't remember the last time I saw two people who look so identical!! Yuck.
