"At least eight people were killed and another has been injured in a series of shootings at three spas in the Atlanta, Ga, area on Tuesday and one suspect has been taken into custody, .

It's unclear if all three incidents, which happened within hours of one another, are connected.

A suspect in the Cherokee County shootings was taken into custody in Crisp County, about 150 miles south of Atlanta, around 8:30 p.m. -- about 3 1/2 hours after the killings. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office identified him as Robert Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock.

In a video on the Crisp County Sheriff's Department Facebook page, Sheriff Frank Reynolds said the agency and the highway patrol were alerted Long was headed their way. After his vehicle was spotted, a chase ensued on Interstate 75 and a state trooper performed a maneuver that sent the SUV out of control.

Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said when officers arrived at Young's Asian Massage, two victims were already dead and another three were still alive, 11Alive reported. The wounded were rushed to a local hospital, but two have since died. One of the victims was a man, as is a survivor, officials said.

The names of the four victims killed at Young's Asian Massage, as well as that of the person who was injured, have not been released by authorities.

About an hour after that shooting, Atlanta police officers were called to respond to a robbery in progress at Gold Spa. Once there, they discovered the bodies of three women who had been fatally shot. Moments later, officers were called to a another shooting across the street at a different spa — Aromatherapy Spa — one more woman was found dead of a gunshot wound.

Authorities said many of the victims appeared to be women of Asian descent."

After lookin' at his picture... why do I get the feelin' that "someone" was pissed off that no one was willing touch his pasty/ scraggly ass... even for money?

I dunno... just call it a hunch. I mean, I'm not sayin' I'm "psychic" or anything... but Dionne Warwick and her network of friends do have me on Speed Dial... so... ya know... make of that what you will...

Just waiting for his incel manifesto to be made public.

Adding to the horror is his likely Asian fetish.

We only hear of these incel killings a few times a year; how many more incels are sitting at home (in their parents’ basements) fantasizing about committing similar assaults?

Inbred looking, backwater dumbass, probably just crawled out from under a rock down around the Okeefenokee Swamp. Damn boy what's your problem? He's going to be a joy in prison. Passed around like a used rubber on gang rape night.

Little Incel monster was all upset his waifu pillow would no longer give him a tuggie. So he gorged up on some delicious chickie nugs and went to the massage parlors that hosted Asian masseuses, because he heard they give tug tug for extra. You know, because some how they all do.

Then when ladies said "uh no" like any sane person would do when confronted by an Incel, he got upset.

Now he can't get a tugtug from his waifu and even the ladies at the parlors (where they all do that) wont give him tugtug. So like any self respecting Incel, he decided to teach those women a lesson.*

Castrate him, leave him bleeding and feed him to the sharks.

*This is all speculation on my part

I have been to Okeefenokee, and I have the pics to prove it! I was only around 4 or 5, so that's the only way I can remember.

Plot Twist!
Aaron the Super Christian was looking to remove lustful temptations from his life by murder. Because murder is far less of a sin than sex. *side eye* Well, prison will surely remove the vagina temptation.
He states race played no factor, he frequented all the businesses shot up. Basically he was addicted to the rub n tug but was morally conflicted with his decision and made others pay for it. Dickless move there, buddy.
Apparently he was stopped en route to Florida to commit more shootings. How many different "Spas" did you frequent, Aaron?

I went to the Okeefenokee once, when I was about 40, It seemed to be a lovely place with all manner of wonderful swamp life, which of course is the part I didn't like, all those green, slithering, creeping swamp critters. We went on a cruise thru the swamp in a big row boat with about 4-5 other people but the water was so low that there were places we nearly had to get out and walk. That's a no.

ATLANTA (AP) — A man accused of killing eight people, six of them women of Asian descent, in shootings at three Atlanta-area massage businesses was indicted Tuesday on murder charges, and a prosecutor filed notice that she’ll also seek hate crime charges and the death penalty.
[....]
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis also filed notice that she intends to seek hate crime charges and the death penalty against Long, who is white. The hate crime charges are based on actual or perceived race, national origin, sex and gender, according to online records. Georgia’s new hate crimes law does not provide for a stand-alone hate crime. After a person is convicted of an underlying crime, a jury must determine whether it’s a hate crime, which carries an additional penalty.

The indictment charges Long with four counts of murder, four counts of felony murder, five counts of assault with a deadly weapon, four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and one count of domestic terrorism, according to online records.

It will be up to a separate grand jury in Cherokee County to decide on charges in the shooting at a spa near suburban Woodstock in which four were killed and one person was wounded.

Willis’ decision to seek the death penalty is a departure from her stance during her campaign to be district attorney last year.

During a candidate forum last year, Willis answered yes when asked: “Will you commit to refuse to seek the death penalty?”

He's scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, the Cherokee County District Attorney's Office told ABC News. Among 19 total counts, he faces four counts of murder, four counts of felony murder and one count of domestic terrorism.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Wednesday that she believes a plea deal has been reached in the case ahead of the Cherokee County arraignment. But, Cyndi Crossland, a spokesperson for the Cherokee County District Attorney's Office, told ABC News that county D.A. Shannon Wallace "is ethically prohibited from discussing any type of plea negotiation."

Willis filed a motion Tuesday requesting Long be transferred to the Fulton County Jail following his arraignment in Cherokee County and requested to schedule an arraignment for Long in Fulton County "on or before August 6, 2021, or as soon as practical," according to court documents.

In May, Willis said she'd seek the death penalty and hate crime charges.

"Last year, I told the voters of Fulton County that I could not imagine a circumstance where I would seek [the death penalty]," Willis at the time. "Unfortunately, a case has arisen in the first few months of my term that I believe warrants the ultimate penalty, and we shall seek it."

Authorities didn't officially determine a motive for the attack. Long told investigators he blamed the businesses he targeted for providing an outlet for his addiction to sex and he "told investigators the crimes were not racially motivated," the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said at the time.

Welp, I might see what all this is about.

Firstly mentioning: politician + attorney + democrat, per Wikipedia.

Death penalty is a thing that tends to be used against black people where it might not necessarily be used against whites in the same cases. When wanting black people and democrats to support you, you oppose the death penalty.

But perp is white in this case. So, few points lost. Or maybe, some gained.

Pic below of Fani Willis.

Some ppl are like that, and for them, it's moreso about the context, not a genuine standpoint.

Sorry shitty impression, but I have a suspicion, just saying.

A Georgia man accused of killing eight people at three Atlanta-area massage businesses was pleading guilty in Cherokee County on Tuesday, hoping for a sentence of life without parole to the first four of the shooting deaths.

Robert Aaron Long faces still faces the death penalty if convicted in four more shooting deaths in Atlanta, where he faces charges of domestic terrorism with a hate crime enhancement in addition to murder. Long is white and six of the victims were women of Asian descent.

Long walked through the massage business in Woodstock “shooting anyone and everyone he saw,” District Attorney Shannon Wallace said. But the prosecutor said he was motivated by a “sex addiction” and his desire to eliminate sources of his temptation, not by any hate against Asians or women.

“All of the evidence that was gathered with regard to Cherokee County, your honor, came to the same conclusion, that this crime was not motivated by a bias or hate against Asian Americans. As for gender bias, Wallace said a charge based on hatred of women would not have extended his sentence.

“This was not any kind of hate crime,” she said.

Wallace said they had planned to seek the death penalty if Long didn't plead guilty. All the relatives of the victims that they've been able to contact are supporting the plea deal in the interests of swift justice, she added.

The American Psychiatric Association does not recognize sex addiction in its main reference guide for mental disorders. While some people struggle to control their sexual behaviors, it’s often linked to other recognized disorders or moral views about sexuality, said David Ley, clinical psychologist and author of “The Myth of Sex Addiction.”

“These sexual behaviors getting this label are a symptom, not a cause,” Ley said.

The prosecutor said the 22-year-old defendant signed a plea deal admitting to all of the charges in Cherokee County, where he was accused of malice murder, felony murder, attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault.

Police have said the attacks began when Long shot and killed four people, three of them women and two of Asian descent, at Youngs Asian Massage just before 5 p.m. on March 16, 2020. He also shot and wounded a fifth person, they say.

Long then drove south to Atlanta, where he shot and killed three women at Gold Spa before going across the the street to Aromatherapy Spa and fatally shooting another woman, police have said. All of the Atlanta victims were women of Asian descent.

Those killed at the Cherokee County spa were: Xiaojie “Emily” Tan, 49; Daoyou Feng, 44; Delaina Yaun, 33; and Paul Michels, 54. The Atlanta victims were: Suncha Kim, 69; Soon Chung Park, 74; Hyun Jung Grant, 51; and Yong Ae Yue, 63.

Long is scheduled to appear again next month in Fulton County, where District Attorney Fani Willis filed notice that she intends to seek a hate crime sentence enhancement along with the death penalty, based on the actual or perceived race, national origin, sex and gender of the four women killed in Atlanta.

Georgia’s new hate crimes law does not provide for a stand-alone hate crime. After a person is convicted of an underlying crime, a jury must determine whether it’s motivated by bias, which carries an additional penalty.

The 19-count Fulton County indictment includes charges of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and domestic terrorism.

Police said that after the shootings at the two Atlanta spas, Long got back into his car and headed south.

By then, Long’s parents had called authorities to help after recognizing their son in still images from security video that the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media. His parents were already tracking his movements through an application on his phone, the prosecutor said, and that enabled authorities to track their son down Interstate 75.

State troopers and sheriff’s deputies spotted his SUV, and one of them forced Long to spin to a stop by bumping his vehicle. Long then surrendered to authorities in rural Crisp County, about 140 miles (225 kilometers) south of Atlanta.

Long told police his attack was not racially motivated, and a Cherokee sheriff’s spokesman said it did not appear to be a hate crime, prompting widespread skepticism and outrage.

“He apparently has an issue, what he considers a sex addiction, and sees these locations as something that allows him to go to these places, and it’s a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate,” Cherokee sheriff’s Capt. Jay Baker initially told reporters.

Baker also drew criticism for saying Long had “a really bad day,” and was removed from the case.

Long said he planned to kill himself that day and went to the massage businesses thinking that paying for sex — which he considered shameful — would push him to do it. But while sitting in his car outside the first spa, he decided to kill the people inside.
After he was caught in south Georgia, Long told detectives he struggled with pornography and sex. He believed he was an addict and felt tremendous guilt when he viewed porn or engaged in sexual acts at massage businesses, Wallace said.
By then, his parents had called authorities after recognizing their son in images from security video that authorities posted online. His parents were already tracking his movements through an application on his phone so they would know if he visited massage businesses, the prosecutor said, and that enabled officers to find him.
He blamed the victims for his inability to control his impulses..

I'm glad the parents called LEO on their murder spawn, but this paragraph makes me wonder if they didn't create the guilt and shame that messed him up in the first place.

How sad. Their son is a murderer who (IMO) deserves the death penalty. Eight innocent people are dead. And these two probably didn't do anything illegal, but I have to wonder if none of this would have happened if they didn't shame their son for visiting sex workers. I'd love to know if they called them nasty Asian women in addition to all of the derogatory slurs that exist for all women. I'm assuming facts not reported, but it's pretty telling that they were tracking his phone for the very thing he says he was so ashamed of doing. I bet the walls in that house could tell some ugly secrets if walls could talk.

ATLANTA, Sept 28 (Reuters) - A Georgia man on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to four counts of murder and other charges stemming from a shooting massacre at Atlanta-area day spas in March, for which the prosecutor is seeking the death penalty.

An attorney for Robert Aaron Long, 22, entered his plea at a brief hearing before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville in Atlanta.

The Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has already filed paperwork in the court announcing that she would seek the death penalty and enhanced sentencing for hate crimes, based on the race and gender of the victims.
