The investigation into the injuries 4-year-old Ke'andre Jolly suffered Friday night became a homicide investigation on Tuesday morning when he died at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Lafayette police said and Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello said.

Jolly died about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Lafayette police said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The autopsy will determine the boy's manner of death, which might be homicide, suicide, accidental or undetermined. The autopsy also will determine the cause of death and detail the injuries the boy suffered.

hirty-three-year-old Montrell Jolly beat his 4-year-old cousin, Ké andre Jolly, to death because the boy put his shoes on the wrong feet, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors charged Montrell Jolly on Friday with murder, neglect of a dependent resulting in catastrophic injury, aggravated battery and battery resulting in death to a person younger than 14 years old.
Montrell Jolly told police he was disciplining Ké andre by making him do wall sits, which Montrell Jolly described as having Ké andre put his back against the wall while sitting in a squat position without a chair underneath him, according to prosecutors.
Montrell Jolly told police Ké andre yelled and cried, and he let the boy go to the bathroom, according to prosecutors. But Montrell Jolly told police he became upset again with the 4-year-old because he sat down to urinate instead of standing, according prosecutors. The "wall sits" continued after Ké andre used the bathroom, according to Montrell Jolly's statements to police
Montrell Jolly said that Ké andre stopped crying and making noise, which is when Montrell said he found the boy unresponsive on the floor.
Montrell Jolly said he tried to revive Ké andre by putting him in cold water in the bathtub, according to prosecutors.
About 20 minutes later, Montrell Jolly called 911, according to prosecutors.

Ké andre died from blunt force injuries to his head, according to prosecutors, who cited the autopsy results. But Ké andre had bruises, cuts internally and externally on his body that indicated the boy had been beaten, according to prosecutors.

They need to staple shoes onto his feet and make him do wall squats. Every time he falters they need to put another nail into his feet and repeat. I hate these stupid assholes who know nothing about children and their normal milestones.
