Two individuals have been arrested in San Angelo on multiple charges, including kidnapping and injury to a child, after a 3-year-old child was found unresponsive in a San Angelo residence and unable to be revived.

On Jan. 18, San Angelo Police Department officers were dispatched after receiving a report of an unconscious child. When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive 3-year-old male.
The officers attempted life-saving measures to revive the child while transporting him to Shannon Medical Center for treatment. The child was unable to be revived, however, and would later be pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the SAPD’s Crimes Against Children Unit responded and learned that the child was subjected to neglect and was not provided with adequate care and nourishment.

On April 24, 32-year-old Mark Anthony Nieves and 29-year-old Syhtel Lee Limuel were arrested.
