A 20-year-old woman was gang-raped by five men while traveling with her husband in India.
During the horrific three-hour attack, the woman, who had been riding on a motorbike with her husband in Alwar, Rajasthan, was stopped by the alleged rapists and dragged into a ravine.
Following the sexual assault, the five perpetrators, who had filmed the entire attack, threatened to upload the video online if the couple reported the ordeal to the police.
Police in Rajasthan have now arrested all five accused of the brutal attack and a sixth person is being held by the authorities for uploading the video on social media.
Speaking of the horrific attack that was carried out on April 26, the rape survivor has now called on the Indian government to sentence her attackers to death.
Initially fearing that the gang would hurt her parents and family if she reported them, the woman, who belongs to the Dalit community in India, chose to remain silent about the assault.
However when footage of the attack began to emerge on social media, the woman and her husband decided to report the perpetrators to the police in the hope that no one else would face the horrific ordeal they had.
Describing the 'three hours of hell' they were put through, the woman's husband told how the five men forced him and his wife to remove their clothes before carrying out their attack.
