This was from 2014.

This was a great movie with a great cast. Shailene Woodley, Eva Green, Chris Meloni, Angela Bassett, Gaby Sidibe, and Thomas Jane. Set in 1988 it tells the story of a family of 3. The daughter is 17 and her mother suddenly completely disappears. This was not a happy house before this and it is strongly implied in a few different ways what has happened. It is only after a few years have passed that she comes to grip with this loss and seeks answers. There is a huge twist at the end.

I hadn't heard of it either. I'm still using the Netflix disk plan because it's the only place to find some of the more odd things I like to watch. Something else I had got had the preview for this movie on it.
