Two teenage girls in Placer County are in legal trouble after they allegedly used a drugged milkshake to knock out one of the girls' parents so they could access the Internet, Rocklin police said.

The teens were booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall on New Year's Eve after the parents, reeling from unexplained hangover symptoms, first took a drug test, then called police, said Lt. Lon Milka, a spokesman for the Rocklin Police Department.

The alleged drugging took place Friday evening at the home of a 15-year-old girl, Milka said. They believe her friend, a 16-year-old from Roseville, provided a prescription sleep aid.

The parents consumed about of quarter of the milkshakes offered by their daughter. The parents quickly fell asleep and were out until 1 a.m., when they experienced the groggy hangover feeling. They went back to sleep, but decided to investigate in the morning.

"They were the ones that came to us. They felt like they were drugged. The milkshakes tasted strange," Milka said.

He said he did not know what specific web site was so important to the girls that they allegedly would take such an extreme action.

By drugging the parents, the two girls were then free to use the home Internet while her parents were passed out asleep.

The pair did not remember what occurred.

Through their investigation, police said the girl thought her parents were too strict because they did not allow her to access the Internet after 10 p.m.

Good grief. My daughter has been ranting about her friend's strict (tyrannical) parents attitude about TV. In a few years, will she be trying to drug them, I wonder.

Police say that last week, a 15-year-old girl had a 16-year-old friend spend the night at her home. The younger teen’s parents did not allow her to use the Internet after 10:00 p.m. so the teens hatched a completely*asinine*plan to get around the restriction.
The girls ended up giving the parents milkshakes from a fast-food restaurant*that they had spiked with crushed up sleeping pills.*The parents were only able to drink about of the quarter of the milkshakes, saying they tasted funny and were grainy
But the shakes must have been loaded because shortly after, the parents were sawing logs. They woke up*at 1 a.m. the next morning feeling like they had hangovers. They went back to sleep and woke up the next morning still feeling like re-fried dogshit. Suspecting they had been drugged, the parents went to the Rocklin police station to pick up a $5 drug test kit normally used to test teens for drug use.
One of the other reasons why the became immediately suspicious that they had been drugged is because the 15-year-old’s parents — *who became the teen’s legal guardians after she was their foster child — had suspected they’d been drugged once before.…
