An Aurora woman has been charged after police say she beat her infant son unconscious.

Trivea Jones, 23, has been charged with two counts felony battery.

Police were called to the home to help an infant who was unconscious and not breathing. Authorities found the 6-month-old boy lying on the family room floor and immediately started CPR to resuscitate him.

The child was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment and was later airlifted to a Chicago trauma center where he remains on life support, police said.

Jones, who was alone in the home, told emergency responders that the infant suddenly stopped breathing while she was feeding him, according to Aurora police. However, police say hospital staff noted that the baby was suffering from severe trauma, including a fractured skull.

Later Jones allegedly admitted to battering the child against a piece of furniture and leaving him unconscious on the floor for some time before asking a neighbor to call 911, police said.

Spay her.
10 years hard labour.
Weekly beatings leaving her for dead in her cell.
Monthly caning.

I would ask her trivia questions like how much electricity can the brain take before testing out on her until she only speaks gibberish.

A woman was charged with murder for the death of her infant son in west suburban Aurora.

Trivea S. Jones, 23, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder following her 6-month-old son’s death according to a statement from the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.

She was previously charged with aggravated battery to a child and aggravated domestic battery in connection with an incident involving the baby last week, according to Aurora police.

The state’s attorney’s office dismissed the initial case and authorized the murder charges after the boy’s death.

24-year-old Aurora woman charged with killing her 6-month-old son in June by slamming him against a piece of furniture has been ruled unfit to stand trial.

Trivea S. Jones was ordered Thursday to be sent to the state's Department of Human Services for an unspecified mental disability for up to a year after attorneys stipulated to a psychologist's report.

If restored to fitness and convicted of first-degree murder, Jones faces a prison sentence of 20 to 60 years.

If she cannot be restored to fitness, she could be held by the department indefinitely.
