Problem: Inmates can use ordinary clothing in suicide attempts.

Solution: Clothe them in our special apparel to help reduce the potential for suicide attempts.

The gown and blanket reduce the potential for an inmate or patient to use his own clothing for a suicide attempt. Originally designed for use in a maximum security correctional facility, the gown and blanket have applications in both correctional and therapeutic settings.

When Extreme Safety Measures are Required Ordinary clothing or even heavy canvas clothing can be torn by the inmate and fashioned into a noose; stripping the inmate is not a desirable alternative.

The gown and blanket provide safe, comfortable clothing for high risk, suicide-prone individuals. The material is extremely tear-resistant and the gown has break-away seams held together by hook and loop closures when worn. Padding in the mid-torso area of the gown provides bulk to thwart noose construction. The double-ply blanket also has additional padding through the mid-section. The gown and blanket can be important components of an overall program to reduce institutional suicides.

let inmates kill themselves, shit it saves the tax payers not only to food and clothe them, but the costly time and expenses of court trips.
