An Amber alert has been issued for two young girls, aged 14 and 7, who are believed to have been abducted by a man wanted over the suspicious death of a woman.

Police found the woman's body in a home in Round Rock, Texas when they were called to carry out a welfare check on Sunday.

Terry Allen Miles, 44, is a suspect in the woman's death.

He is also wanted over the abduction of the two girls - 14-year-old Lilianas Griffith and 7-year-old Luluvioletta Bandera-magret.

The relationship between the woman and the two girls was not immediately clear.

Griffith is described as being 5-feet 10-inches and weighing 100 pounds. She has brown eyes, has a nose stud in her right nostril and has braces.

Bandera-magret is 4-feet 5-inches and weighs 75 pounds. She has curly brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said the girls were both associated with Miles.

Miles was last seen on December 30 and police said he might be headed towards Louisiana in a gray 2007 Hyundai Accent.

The car has a Texas license plate, JGH9845, and has a white sticker on the upper right hand corner of the rear window.

they are now calling it a suspicious death instead of murder, nothing is verified but am wondering why they are treating this case like this::: now they have called off amber alert though he was the roommate not father, they say because he's out of the state which sends all kinds of feel good messages [not] will keep checking on this

Two girls missing since Sunday have been found safe in Colorado, and a possible abduction suspect was in custody Wednesday night.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert in Colorado on Wednesday after a Texas man suspected of abducting the girls was spotted in southern Colorado.

A previous alert was issued by the Round Rock, Texas, Police Department after officers found 44-year-old Tonya Bates dead at her home on Sunday and her two daughters — Luluvioletta “Lulu” Bandera-Magret, 7, and Lilianais “Lily” Griffith, 14 — missing.

The suspect in custody was Terry Miles, 44.

Police suspected the girls were not willingly traveling with Miles, whom they previously identified as Bates’ roommate. Banks said in a previous news conference that Bates’ death was suspicious, calling Miles a person of interest. Multiple media outlets reported that Miles has an extensive criminal record in Louisiana and California.

In the past decade, Miles has been arrested and charged in numerous domestic violence cases in Calcasieu Parish, which is in southwest Louisiana. He was also originally charged with murder in 2014 but a grand jury failed to indict him in the case.

A federal jury has convicted a man on kidnapping charges after he took two sisters from a Texas home where their mother was later found dead.

Terry Allen Miles, 45, was convicted Tuesday. Investigators say the 45-year-old was living with Tonya Bates in Round Rock to help look after her two daughters when they disappeared in December 2017.

'Today's verdict represents justice for the child victims of Terry Miles,' said U.S. Attorney Bash in a release. 'Mandatory minimums have been criticized recently, but I am glad that federal law requires defendants to serve at least 20 years—and up to life in prison—for these sorts of heinous acts against children.

Defense attorneys say Miles was protecting the girls from their mother's chaotic and illicit lifestyle, and had no part in her death.

Testimony also revealed that Miles repeatedly engaged in sexual relations with the 14-year-old over the duration of five months. Mile's semen was found on the girl's underwear that she was wearing at the time that she was found. His semen was also found at the campsite where the trio had been hiding.

Miles faces up to life in prison when sentenced in April.

A man accused of fatally beating a Central Texas woman, kidnapping her daughters and sexually assaulting one of them for five months was sentenced Tuesday to life in federal prison.

Terry Allen Miles, 45, was convicted in February of several charges, including two counts of kidnapping .

Authorities discovered the body of the woman during a welfare check at the home she shared with Miles in December 2017. The check had been requested after she didn't turn up to work.

Authorities believe Miles beat her with a heavy flashlight. Her eldest daughter, then 14, testified that she saw Miles punch her mother and knock her to the floor. She said Miles later came to her with blood on his clothing.

Miles was not charged in the mother's death.

After the beating, Miles fled with the girls, then aged 7 and 14, investigators said. Sheriff's deputies traced a cellphone used by the girls to catch up with them a few days later near La Veta, Colorado, a remote area in the southern part of the state.

Miles also was found guilty in February of transporting a minor with intent to engage in sex and of interstate travel with intent to engage in sex with a minor.

Prosecutor Michelle Fernald said at trial that Miles met the teenage daughter earlier in 2017 when she was visiting her father in Louisiana. Fernald said he groomed the girl by paying her special attention and making her feel important, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

After returning to Texas, the girl exchanged nearly 1,000 phone calls and texts with Miles from August to September of 2017.

Fernald said Miles convinced her mother to allow him to move into their home to serve as a nanny of sorts for the girl, who was being home-schooled, and her sister. Prosecutors say he engaged in sexual relations with the older girl over a five-month period.

Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick told The Associated Press following Miles' conviction that he was charged with the federal crimes, rather than the state crime of murder, because those were the strongest charges prosecutors could bring at the time of his arrest.

Miles' defense team had argued that he was diagnosed with a mental illness and that he should receive a lesser sentence because his illness made him less culpable.

nor do I believe that should be a good defense for any situation like deadly assault, pedo rape or murder, death penalty would work in a a case like this and put him out of his misery

Mom sounds like she's stupid as fuck or just happy to have another adult to dump her kids on so she can go party (if the chaotic lifestyle theory is supported- im inclined to believe it is since she was allowing a grown ass man to live in her house with her daughters) and this is what happens when shitty mothers act...well shitty. Ignorance is bliss i guess. I'm perfectly fine with the fact she got murdered since it seems the only way this poor child was going to be taken away from this predator her mom practically handed her over to.

This girl has already been fucked over, hopefully she gets some good therapy and is placed in a healthier living situation. I'm hoping to god the younger sister wasn't his victim as well.

am thinking mom wasn't he brightest bulb in the box & her vacation bit without the kids was a major red light but this guy was a stone cold sociopath that used and abused women and lulled them into buying his crap. I chose the article I did because the picture of the young one and something was off, I didn't like the way she looked at all there was something wrong with the way she was even dressed but her eyes... something happened to her too by the time this birthday picture was taken. No use for women that let their kids be turned into toys for any man as they have to know on some level what is going on

Agreed, it was a great choice, def something not right with the youngest one, she looks like she knows too much.
