A Dothan woman recently created an abduction and sexual assault story to give authorities as an alibi for her boyfriend, said Barbour County Sheriff’s Sgt. David Morris.

Investigators arrested 28-year-old Sharon Frost, of Intown Suites, and charged her with misdemeanor filing a false report after she said a man kidnapped her and raped her late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Frost was being held in the Barbour County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

“It appears she just made it up,â€￾ Sheriff Leroy Upshaw said.

According to a previous Eagle report, Frost told authorities a man abducted her after he hid in her van while she prepaid for gasoline at a Eufaula service station on Friday, April 11. The man allegedly forced her to drive to a location on Barbour County Road 79 where he raped her. She also said the man forced her to drive him to Headland after the assault.

Frost also went to an area hospital for treatment, and an examination for a sexual assault. But sheriff’s investigators said medical officials found no evidence of a sexual assault.

Apparently Frost picked up a man she knew at the USA Travel Center convenience store in Eufaula on U.S. 431, and they rode around in her vehicle for close to five hours, Morris said.

Morris said drug usage was reportedly involved during the car ride, along with some consensual sexual contact before she dropped him off in Headland.

WTF is up with some women? Same thing just happened here. They even momentarily arrested some poor guy. PLUS it was not the woman's first time! She had falsely accused her ex-husband of sexual assult in the past. She got probation then and could only face a year now.

Kidnapping accuser led authorities astray before

A woman charged Friday with lying to police about being kidnapped last week has previously pleaded guilty in Minnesota to falsely reporting that her ex-husband sexually assaulted her, court documents say.

Two days after Deborah Lee Monson, 25, told police she was kidnapped at knifepoint in Moorhead and taken to Fargo and raped, she admitted she had not been kidnapped, according to Cass County District Court documents.

Court documents also say:
Monson originally accused two people of kidnapping her at knifepoint on April 8 and said she was held down by one man as Joshua James Kraft raped her and poured methamphetamine down her throat.

After authorities confronted her about inconsistencies between the evidence and her statements, Monson changed her story. She said she had not been kidnapped and the second man was not involved, but “claimed that it was Kraft whom threatened her with a knife when she was in the bedroom.â€￾

Kraft was arrested on suspicion of raping and kidnapping Monson, but prosecutors have said they will not charge him with anything other than the drug paraphernalia charges he faces in connection with the incident.

The second man was not arrested and is not being charged.

Kraft told The Forum last week that he had consensual sex with Monson after she came over to his house on her own. Kraft also said the second man Monson accused is his friend, and was at his residence when Monson was there.

Monson’s probation officer told police he confronted her on Monday about the incident and she “never denied lying.â€￾ The Dent, Minn., woman was placed on probation for the 2006 false report against her ex-husband, according to court documents.

Fargo police Lt. Pat Claus said Friday that the incident wasted dozens of hours of manpower and thousands of dollars in resources for legitimate victims, which he said is frustrating.

The reported attack came less than a week after a kidnapping and unsuccessful attempted rape resulted in Vincent Degidio Jr. being shot by officers in an armed confrontation in Moorhead.

Claus said false reports involving violent crimes are “a rarity,â€￾ but would not speculate as to whether the Degidio incident had anything to do with Monson’s false report.

Monson faces a Class A misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a year in jail.

Prosecutors sent out a news release Friday saying the decision to charge Monson is based on a unique set of circumstances, adding victims of crimes are encouraged to make reports to law enforcement.

This bitch needs to be jailed. Every time some fuckwad like this makes a false report, it makes it that much harder to get a conviction on an actual rapist. Defense lawyers for rapists (scum sucking shit eaters) just love women like Deborah Monson and Sharon Frost. These attorneys trot out every case they can like this in court to try and make the jury believe that the rape victim might be making it up. These lying bitches need to be given the same type of sentencing guidelines as actual rapists, because they are, in effect 'raping' the legal system, as well as further traumatizing actual rape victims.
