Police in Ohio have arrested an 18-year-old man who they say stabbed to death his grandmother - who was the mother of a local serial killer - and injured three young relatives in a nighttime attack at the woman's home in Cleveland.
Cleveland police have identified the deceased victim as 62-year-old Diane Madison. She succumbed to her wounds at the scene on Saturday.
Diane Madison was the mother of Michael Madison, a convicted sex offender who was found guilty in 2016 of murdering three women and sentenced to death.
The murder suspect, 18-year-old Jalen Plummer, was arraigned early Monday morning on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault, and had his bond set at $2million.
Plummer is accused of killing Madison, and repeatedly stabbing his 12-year-old brother, 10-year-old sister and 10-year-old cousin, who were all taken to Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital for treatment.
One of the young victims is Michael Madison's child.
Police say Plummer entered the bedrooms of the sleeping children at the residence in the 19000 block of Chickasaw Avenue at around 12.15am on Saturday and began stabbing them.
The two girls managed to flee and ask neighbors for help.
Police who were called to the scene found the 18-year-old suspect covered in blood in the shower inside his grandmother's house. Plummer was then taken to a hospital to be treated for cuts to his hands.
