The woman who was arrested earlier in December for alleged "child stealing" allegedly also physically assaulted one of her children.

According to court records, in October, the 21-month-old child of Zachiah Pratt was being treated at Memorial Hospital. Bakersfiseld Police were called to Memorial for suspected child abuse.

The child was treated for bruising four to five inches covering her lower back and bruising to her pelvic region. According to court documents the child also had a small "A" carved into her neck with a sharp object.

Pratt was arrested Dec. 19, more than a month after her two children went missing.

The Kern County District Attorney's Office Abduction Unit needs the public's help finding two children who were abducted by their mother on November 10, 2018.

The children, Zerenity and Anthony Coleman were abducted by their mother Zachiah Pratt, who does not have custodial rights.

Both Zerenity and Anthony are considered at risk and are believed to be in the Bakersfield or Shafter area.

Hell, you have to mark 'em or you can't prove they're yours. Any child thief knows that.

The woman accused of abducting her own children was sentenced Tuesday in court to four years in prison. Zachiah Pratt received 360 days time served for good behavior.

According to court records, Pratt, who was accused of abducting her two children in December 2018, pleaded no contest to a felony charge of willful cruelty to a child back in may of this year. Charges including child stealing and contempt of court were dismissed last month.

The Kern County District Attorney's Office Child Abduction Unit stated in December that they were notified by the Kern County Sheriff's Office that the children were found and that their mother, Pratt, was arrested earlier in the day. She had gone to the Bakersfield City Fire Station attempting to surrender the children, according to Kern County Sheriff's Office. This is when both Bakersfield Police Department and KCSO responded to the scene and Pratt was arrested.
