A Cecilia mother, who told police she was “frustrated,” by Kentucky State Police after she was captured on video shaking her 4-month-old child.
Ashley Cannon, 24, is charged with one count of first-degree wanton endangerment and is being held in lieu of a partially secured $10,000 bond.
According to an arrest citation, Cannon and her child were staying at a friend’s home that is equipped with indoor cameras and video showed the child being shaken. The video was discovered Wednesday night, according to the report.
KSP contacted Kentucky Child Protective Services and an investigation began Thursday. Cannon admitted to shaking her child because she was frustrated, the citation said.
The child was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital for a forensic examination and then placed in the care of a family member.
