Responding to a 911 call, deputies entered the Lake Worth Beach residence and found the living room spattered with blood.

The red trail led to the apartment’s bedroom, where the badly bloodied victim was lying on his back while holding a towel to his head.

According to an arrest report, he told deputies that he was a CT technician from Arizona in Florida for work.

He said Dimmig’s wife was his coworker and that they had gone out for drinks after work before returning to his AirBnB.

While in bed with her, he suddenly heard the front door open before seeing Dimmig charging towards him with a bat in hand.

The enraged husband pinned him down and bashed him three times with the metal club, according to the report.

Dimmig screamed at his nemesis, warning the man not to go near his wife. She finally pulled her husband off of the victim before Dimmig fled the scene.

A video camera in the apartment captured her imploring him to end the assault.

“John!,” she could be heard screaming. “Stop! He’s bleeding!”

The arrest report says Dimmig's wife signed a consent search form where deputies found a black aluminum bat inside the laundry room, and a black ripped t-shirt, and a white tank top undershirt that appeared to have blood on it.

When investigators spoke to Dimmig he told them he was home all day, other than briefly going to Publix located at the intersection of Northlake Boulevard and U.S. Highway 1. He further said, that he had a bat that he kept in the closet for self-defense or hitting baseballs or soccer balls.

Dimmig also said he had never struck anyone with a bat, the report reads.

Through further investigation, police were able to identify Dimmig's car near the scene of the crime.

It almost sounds like the wife didn't know the victim very long. Also how would it be a co-worker if he was from out of state? Was he just there on a temporary assignment, they met each other and just decided they had to have a shiggity diggity attack?

I get Slugger being upset that his wife was playing host to somebody else's baseball bat but did he really think this was going to be the best way to handle things?. Just imagine how much screwing around she's going to be able to do with him locked up.

If a spouse isn't into you enough to keep from screwing someone else then they aren't worth going to prison over. Better to just walk away and let there be somebody else's problem as you cut them loose.
