Authorities say a Pennsylvania man left three children at a McDonald's and told them to walk home in bone-chilling temperatures.

According to reports, 55-year-old Craig Alercia, is facing three counts of child endangerment.

Easton police say they went to the restaurant Friday night after someone reported three unsupervised children. The children told officers that Alercia had dropped them off and left about 20 minutes later.

Authorities say Alercia later told police he had instructed the children to walk home.

Alercia reportedly told officers he left the kids because he had "somewhere to be."

The temperature was around 14 degrees at the time. Police say a 10-year-old boy in the group had a jacket but two girls, ages 10 and 11, didn't.

Authorities didn't say if Alercia was related to the children.

Huh? "Dropping off" implies a far quicker exit then 20 min. If you go somewhere with someone and stay for 20 min before leaving, you didnt drop them off. Drop off means you pull up to the curb, they get out, and you drive off right then and there. He left without them.

Anyways, i would need to know how far from home they were before condemning the man. It's possible he simply didnt know they didnt have clothes/protection for the weather. 14 degrees isnt that cold so long as theres little windchill.

That way to cold.

Hey think on the bright side.
Perhaps he had kidnapped them for assorted sex atrocities.
Took em to the McD's for sustenance then in the spirit of the holidays,
let the little pishers go to return home.

He could very well be a Grinch story with updates to include a pedo seeing the light.
Why, migod, this man is an honest to God heart warming story!

Bet you folks never saw THAT coming!
