@Sotiredofthisshit humans have a process on where opinions are developed on information obtained on the subject through a variety of sources. The more personal the subject is, or the more researched the subject is, the more sources one has to glean from.
Humans also tend to listen to rational first hand sources of information more readily than summary or 2nd hand sources of information. That being said, we here at DD will go off the news more readily, as we still haven't heard a rational recollection of events from you.
I take the time now to offer that to you. Without referring to other comments in this forum, without attacking other members, without trying to cast blame, can you tell us what you believe the story is?
-Can you tell us the relations to the family? Are you Mary Cole, or someone else?
-What kind of AC unit was put in? Was it the standard big box one that sticks halfway in the room, halfway out the room through the window? was it one where it sat on wheels on the floor, with a hose that was supposed to go through the window?
-Can you tell us who installed the AC unit?
-Can you both tell us, and give as many news stories as possible that dispute the 14 hours quoted by most of the news stories? (I searched for stories, and either the time wasn't quoted, or it was quoted as 14 hours.)
-This story:
https://www.news10.com/news/national/parents-charged-with-death-of-toddler-girl-who-overheated/ seems to indicate that Austin Heaton was in charge of installing the AC...can you dispute that? Was he the one that put it in, or did he just tell other family members how to put it in?
-This story:
https://wnep.com/2019/02/21/parents-charged-in-heat-related-death/ seems to indicate that there was a malfunction in the AC, causing it to pump hot air rather than cool air...it also states that Nicole had a temp of 106 at time of death...
-This story:
https://fox56.com/news/local/parents-charged-for-death-of-1-year-old-in-scranton indicates it was a floor unit, pumping 120 degree air into the room. This would have been measured by gauging the temperature at the unit itself, not around the room. Can you confirm it was a floor unit?
Your answers do matter. The law is about the truth, but emotions will always cloud our interpretation of the truth, both on how we relate the truth to others, and how the truth is processed by peers. We will tear apart your statement, as humans tend to do to accept a new opinion. We ask that you understand that we're trying to ensure justice be done for the lives lost or destroyed for any of the forum posts here. There are numerous other forum posts where someone related to the case has come in to add their opinion or story. All have been questioned, some have been somewhat accepted.
You've thrown yourself into our spotlight
@Sotiredofthisshit...What say you?
