A woman was arrested in Gainesville, Georgia, after leaving four children unattended and without food for more than 24 hours in a hotel, authorities said.

Selene Flores was charged with first-degree child cruelty after leaving the children, ages 3, 5, 9 and 12, at the Gainesville Budgetel Inn & Suites.

Police were tipped off to the incident by hotel staff and patrons. Flores was booked into Hall County Jail without bond and has a hold placed on her by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Officers purchased food for the children before they were handed over to the Division of Family and Children Services.
