Deshon Webb, 22, was charged with a felon in possession of a handgun and vandalism of his girlfriend’s apartment during a domestic dispute in East Nashville involving a cell phone and a wig.
On May 18th, an exchange was set between Deshon Webb and girlfriend/victim
Kiara Rogan to give back belongings to one another. Officer Merriweather was dispatched in response to the exchange, which was between Rogan’s wig and cell phone as well as Webb’s firearm. Webb does not live at the residence but was compliant in giving Rogan half of the requested items.
After Webb and Rogan swapped the cell phone and weapon, the former began to ask for $300 or $400 dollars in exchange for the hair. Rogan locked her apartment at this time and refused her boyfriend’s offer. Webb then kicked in the front door and entered the unit.
Upon Officer Merriweather’s arrival, two handguns were found in a closet, of which Rogan stated were not hers. After viewing text message correspondence between the two, Webb was decided to be the primary aggressor in the situation and was taken into custody.
