KRISTEN ELIZABETH TORRES
PHOENIX (KPHO) -
A Phoenix mom is facing charges in the death of her 13-month-old son.
Police say Kristen Torres' son was found dead in his crib in November after being sick for days with a fever.
Police say the child started vomiting up bile and Torres was told by the doctor's office to bring the child to the Emergency Room.
The boy's father, Robert Torres, said he was too tired from helping his in-laws move. Kristen Torres said she begged her husband to take the baby and claimed she was unable to herself because of her high blood pressure.
Doctors say the child likely would have survived had he been taken to the hospital that night.
Kristen Torres was arrested Tuesday and is facing second degree murder and child abuse charges. Robert Torres is listed as a co-defendant

A Phoenix man was "too tired" -- and his wife's blood-pressure was "too high" -- to take an extremely ill 13-month-old baby to the hospital in November of 2010 -- despite having been told by doctors the baby needed medical attention.
The result: the baby died.

[....] 13-month-old Aiden Torres was found dead in his crib at his parents' Phoenix home.
An autopsy later revealed that the baby had died from acute peritonitis, an inflammation of the membrane which lines the inside of the abdomen and all of the internal organs.

Torres and her husband, Robert Torres, told police Aiden had been sick for two or three days prior to his death. They told detectives the baby had a fever and a distended stomach.
Torres called the baby's doctor, who instructed her to take the baby to a hospital immediately.
That never happened -- Robert Torres said he was "too tired" from helping his in-laws move to get the baby the medical attention that probably would have saved his life.

The name Aiden means "warrior."
These two wastes of skin never let this child show his strength. Too tired to care for your own baby? I hope the defense lawyer is too tired to do his job.

I had a kitten who died of peritonitis. In cats, it's incurable and always fatal. He suffered terribly at the end and we had to put him down six months after we got him. But if there had been a cure, I would have given anything to help him, and he was, as much as I loved him, just a cat. I cannot imagine letting a human baby, let alone MY OWN baby, suffer like that. At one point when I had him I snapped my ankle and was on crutches, and I still took that cat to the vet. These people are scum.

If that was my son, and I was sick too, I'd call 911, and we're both going. I rang in the New Year with Covid (I'm fully vaxxed; I get my booster next month). I had to call Jacob's grandmother to come get him, as I got too sick to care for him (he's fine and negative). Any updates? No torture needed; ik this is mega old.
