A rising Florida rapper who publicly mourned the deaths of two close friends and called them members of one rap “family” has now been charged with their murders.

Jamell Demons, known by his stage name YNW Melly, was charged on Wednesday, Feb. 13, with first-degree murder in the killing of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr., according to Miramar police.

Cortlen Henry, 20, an associate of Demons, has also been charged in connection with the slayings, according to the Miramar Police Department.

Complex: YNW Melly charged

So apparently

- his song "Murder On My Mind" has been rumored to be about his (former) best friend, who he killed during an attempted robbery; that was 2yrs ago

- he and Cortlen planned the death of their friends and staged the scene to look like a drive-by

- Melly turned himself in but hasn't yet publicly admitted he was the one to kill both victims

Motivation? Women, financial threat, criticism... creative disagreement? Boredom?

YNW Melly Reportedly Now a Suspect in Deputy's Shooting Death

YNW Melly is now reportedly considered a suspect in the shooting death of a deputy.

Melly and YNW Bortlen are both allegedly suspects in the 2017 death of Indian River County Sheriff’s deputy Gary Chambliss, per an XXL-spotted article by local Florida outlet VeroNews.

"After that shooting in Miramar, our detectives will be following up for possible information in connection to the Garry Chambliss homicide," Capt. Tony Consalo told reporters Thursday. "Perhaps, given their current situation, they might be able to shed some light on the case."

Everyone and anyone who would choose to befriend or in any way associate with this hack piece of slime deserved to die anyways.

"cites "high-ranking law enforcement sources" saying investigators believe they were involved in the shooting death of the off-duty deputy. These sources also claim that the fact that Melly and Bortlen were allegedly at the scene of the shooting in Gifford two years ago is "common knowledge""

AKA prob actual direct witnesses but in hood rat thug ass trash urban areas, people believe snitching will result in lacerations requiring sutures. What a diseased, worthless culture/society there.

YNW Melly
doesn't deserve to be released from jail even though he has COVID-19 ... at least that's the way his alleged victims' families see it.

As we've reported ... the rapper is begging to be released from the Florida jail, where he's awaiting trial in his double murder case, because he says he's been infected with the coronavirus, and can't get proper care behind bars.

But, according to new docs obtained by TMZ ... the family of one the alleged victims, Christopher Thomas, says Melly should not be let out because they fear he'll be a threat to them and other witnesses.

The Thomas family, represented by lawyer John Phillips, says it's been painful to sit back and watch as streaming companies continue to promote "the horrific retelling of the murder."

He's referring to 2 of Melly's songs -- "Murder on My Mind" and "Two Face" -- which have lyrics they believe refer to the murders and possible intimidation of witnesses.

As you know ... Melly's been sitting in a Florida jail for more than a year after he was charged with the double murder of his 2 pals. He's asking the judge if he can get out of jail and be placed on house arrest and pay for his own COVID-19 treatment.

Meanwhile, the family of Anthony Williams, the other alleged victim, is also opposed to YNW's release ... something they believe he doesn't deserve.
