CHRISTIANA, Del. - Police charged a 19-year-old New Castle man with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and offensive touching after he became disorderly inside the Christiana Mall on Saturday.
Delaware State Police say troopers working a security detail at the mall contacted a disorderly male subject later identified as Ramon A. Falcon. Troopers say they advised Falcon to leave the premises and attempted to escort him out.
Police say as troopers escorted Falcon towards the mall security office he became verbally abusive and began yelling racial slurs in the jam-packed mall. At this time, police say Falcon fled from police custody and physically resisted arrest.
According to investigators, Falcon continued to resist arrest and ran out of the mall into the parking lot. Police say Falcon was pursued by troopers who successfully used a taser.
Falcon was taken into custody without further incident.
Falcon was charged with resisting arrest, two counts of offensive touching of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.
Falcon was arraigned and locked up at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $4,500 bond.
