Metal journalist Ramón "Oscuro" Martos has released the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2015's ...And Justice For Art: Stories About Heavy Metal Album Covers, which was a beautiful, limited-edition exploration of the genesis and execution of the cover artwork of more than 55 metal albums, both classic and contemporary. Printed in a limited run of 300 copies by indie publisher Dark Canvas, the first volume included over 450 color graphics and behind-the-scenes information taken from 105 exclusive interviews.

Now ...And Justice For Art: Stories About Heavy Metal Album Covers - Volume 2 is out, picking up where the first book left off. Published in a crowd-funded limited run of 300 copies, Volume II clocks in at 252 pages, delving into the whys and hows of the cover artwork of another stack of metal LPs, including Hell Awaits (Slayer), Screaming For Vengeance (Judas Priest), Altars Of Madness (Morbid Angel), Heaven And Hell (Black Sabbath), Operation: Mindcrime (Queensrÿche), In The Nightside Eclipse (Emperor), The Sound Of Perseverance (Death), Bloody Kisses (Type O Negative), and Surgical Steel (Carcass). It includes more than 400 images and stories culled from over 100 exclusive interviews.

Volume II is available exclusively at the And Justice For Art website, where it is listed at $55.

If you are interested in the subject matter, the And Justice For Art site is definitely worth a visit; it has a good number of well-done posts that follow the theme and modus operandi of the books.
