Unalived: Police Officer Abused 15YO for 6 Months in Patrol Car, Commits Suicide Once Exposed

A Jackson police officer accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old in the back of his patrol car committed suicide shortly after news broke about the abuse.

In an interview with WLBT, Mayor Chokwe Lumumba identified the officer as 29-year-old James Hollins.

According to Mayor Lumumba, he was in his personal car, but used the service revolver of another officer.

Attorney Lisa Ross is representing the mother who says her 15-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by the police officer over the last six months.

Ms. Ross said a JPD officer "repeatedly sexually assaulted" a fifteen year old girl for six months. She said he approached the minor. A sexual relationship commenced. The pair allegedly had sex "one to two times a week." The officer videotaped himself having sex with the minor in his police cruiser. He apparently shared the "sexually explicit" videos with the victim because Ms. Ross said she and her client had copies of the video.

Ross said the 15-year-old was approached by the officer and befriended, whose name has not yet been released by her or JPD.
