"Investigators charged 61-year-old Paul Graves Williams with two counts each of first-degree murder, obstruction and evidence tampering.
Deputies say they found the bodies of his wife, 57-year-old Leslie "Lisa" Williams, and their 15-year-old daughter Paige at their home Friday morning in the Garrison Way subdivision near Gainesville after Leslie Williams didn't show up to work at her job at Stephen Foster Elementary. A coworker told investigators a man she believed to be Paul Williams answered her phone and told her to check on his wife.
The report says a deputy entered the home when he found the back screen and door open and what appeared to be blood on the floors. The deputy found Leslie Williams' body in the master bedroom. Investigators later determined the body had been moved postmortem and staged.
The deputy found Paige Williams' body in another bedroom with multiple stab wounds. The report says she was "stabbed no less than thirty five times."
Paul Williams was no where to be found. Investigators immediately identified him as a "person of interest" and asked for the public's help finding him.
Deputies say Williams arrived back at the home around 3 p.m. as they were still executing the search warrant on the home.
The report says Williams waived his right to an attorney and gave a full video and audio confession in which he admitted to stabbing his wife and daughter to death.
The report says Williams admitted to stabbing his daughter with a kitchen knife while she sat in a chair and that he did not stop until she was "gone." The report says Williams told them he then went to the master bedroom where his wife was lying on the bed and stabbed her multiple times until she stood up and stabbed her more times.
The report says he knew what he did was wrong but that he "snapped" and "It was the devil in him."
"He stated he remained inside the residence with the bodies of his wife and daughter for at least a day before he fled the residence," the report says."
