"According to a criminal complaint, an officer with the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force communicated with a suspect there who admitted to possessing child pornography, and told investigators he had received some of the material from a woman who used to live in Missouri.

After further investigation detectives determined the woman, later identified as 25-year-old Paige Cagle, had moved to Lexington. Working with law enforcement, officers were able to track Cagle down to a home on Brian Avenue.

Investigators say Cagle admitted to creating the videos, and told officers she herself had been abused as a child, and had not been able to break the cycle.

Officers say Cagle admitted to making two child pornography videos in Joplin, Missouri, and an additional three videos while living in Winchester."

A Lexington woman has admitted to producing child porn.

The U.S Attorney's Office says 26-year-old Paige Cagle admitted Wednesday to using a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography.

According to the U.S Attorney's Office, Cagle admitted she had sexually abused a young child and that she made two videos of the abuse while in Joplin, Missouri, and three videos of the abuse while in Clark County, Kentucky.

The U.S Attorney's Office says Cagle then shared the videos on the internet. They say she also admitted to possessing other child pornography.

A 26-year-old Lexington woman is sentenced to 25 years in prison for making child pornography.

Paige Cagle pleaded guilty earlier in January 2020 to using a minor to engage in explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography. Thursday, U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell sentenced Cagle to 300 months in prison.

According to Cagle’s plea agreement, on March 1, 2019, officers learned from another person he had received pornographic images from Cagle involving children.

Cagle admitted to officers that on 4 to 5 occasions, she had sexually abused a minor child from the age of 9 months to approximately 18 months old. Cagle further admitted she made two videos of the sexual abuse while in Joplin, Missouri, and three videos of the sexual abuse while in Clark County, Ky.

Cagle admitted to sharing the videos she made with others via Dropbox. Cagle further admitted she possessed additional images of child pornography, specifically images of female children ages 4 to 13 years, in her Dropbox account and admitted she would give out her Dropbox password, so others could upload images into her account.

“The defendant’s production of child pornography was particularly heinous, and the sentence imposed was well justified by the facts of this case,” said Robert M. Duncan Jr., the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
