Three Middle Eastern men were originally convicted of the
rape back in 2014.
When the woman in a desperate attempt tried to resist, the men pushed her and threaten to kill her if she wasn’t quiet. A
pistol was pushed into her mouth.
After they finished raping the woman, they pushed the pistol into her vagina so that she started bleeding heavily.
According to the judge ruling, the man said to the woman that “now you shall also have pleasure”.
Then one of the rapists, together with another man, threw the woman in a car and drove her to a basement in notorious problem area Rinkeby, where the gang rape continued.
In the original ruling, a 21 year old man and a 19 year old man were sentenced to 5 and 2.5 years prison respectively. While an 18 year old man was sentenced to closed youth care.
All of these men have now served their sentences, however a fourth man who at the time was 15 years old, but has now turned 21, has now been sentenced for partaking in the gang rape.
The man was
initially arrested this spring for fraud and tricking elderly people into giving him money. After DNA tests it was found that his DNA matched evidence from the now 6 year old gang rape.
He has now been sentenced to 1 year in prison.
If he had been convicted in 2014 together with the other three men, he would only have got sentenced to closed youth care, but because he is now older he is sentenced to 1 year in prison.
However, with the way Swedish prison works, he will only serve 8 months prison time, as in Sweden people usually get conditional release after serving 2/3 of their sentence.
Sweden now has 60 so called “problem areas”. This gang rape took place nearby, and afterwards the woman was taken to a basement in Rinkeby which is one of the 60 problem areas in Sweden.
