http://www.nbc29.com/story/39619261...d-face-20-years-in-prison-for-beating-her-sonThirty-four-year old Cecilia Burnette faces up to 20 years in prison for beating her young son.
According to investigators, Burnette, along with her boyfriend, Theodore Manna, Jr., assaulted Burnette’s six-year-old son multiple times over a two-week period.
Commonwealth's Attorney Tim Martin says the boy was bruised from head to toe and adds that it's the worst child abuse case he's ever handled.
Burnette previously served prison time for felony child abuse of an infant daughter who died.
Manna entered an Alford plea to malicious wounding in October.

Cecelia Leigh Burnette was 26 when she was convicted in 2011 in Bedford County of child abuse/neglect in the 2008 death of her infant daughter — but acquitted of second-degree murder.
Burnette was pregnant when she was sentenced to eight years in prison in that case. She had her son while incarcerated, and was released this past April.
On Sunday, Burnette, now 34 and living in Augusta County, was charged with malicious wounding in connection with an assault on her 6-year-old son — the same child she was pregnant with when she was sentenced in 2011 in the death of her daughter.
The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office says the boy was the victim of repeated abuse over a two-week period — abuse so bad that he had to be airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville last week.
A check of court records confirmed that Burnette is the same woman convicted in Bedford County eight years ago of child abuse/neglect in the death of her 8-month-old daughter, Marissa Burnette Davis. Martin said Burnette was released from prison on April 6 of this year. Marissa died of “massive head trauma” in September 2008, according to court records and testimony.
