A 16-year-old Salisbury boy has been sentenced in a sexual abuse case involving a victim younger than 8 years old.
The Wicomico County State's Attorney's Office said Klin Lavanual Deshield was found guilty in April of sexual abuse of a minor and second-degree rape.
He sexually abused a victim under the age of 8 between September and November of 2018, according to prosecutors.
A judge sentenced Deshield to 30 years with all but 15 to be served at the Youthful Offender's Program of Patuxent Institution. After his release, he will be on five years supervised probation, as well as required to register and be supervised for life as a sexual offender.
A Wicomico judge sentenced Klin Deshield of Salisbury, Maryland, after he was convicted of sexual abuse and rape charges involving a minor.
The sentence is bullshit. They are not going to hold him past twenty-one.
