This is the moment newborn twin sisters were found on the roadside in the Philippines having been thrown from a moving car.
The mother is believed to have thrown the infants from a vehicle in Negros Oriental early in the morning.
Incredibly, one of the tiny girls survived the ordeal and was rescued after residents heard cries coming from a patch of grass next to the road.
But the other, who was visibly smaller and weaker, was already unconscious and her skin had turned a pale grey. She was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.
Footage shows how one of the babies, a girl, was crying and was moving its arms and legs in the air. Locals wrapped her in a blanket as they waited for an ambulance to arrive to the village of Datagon.
