@JackBurton

WHO ? World Health Organisation ... and yes, I was speaking of actual movies, because there is a movie marketed to children about a dog undergoing a cock and ball check ... in the movie even the dog was adverse. He was encouraged to just go with it. There was some outrage. and rightly so.

People were outraged that a movie depicting the thought processes of dogs in a comedically humanized manner dared to use vet visits as a source for jokes?

Are you being serious?

Are people wigging out about the oh so commonplace neutering jokes that pop up so often throughout the world of entertainment as well? "uh oh, that dog just got a worried look on its face in this cartoon after the owner said we gotta get him neutered!!!! SHAME!!!!"

You're just proving Morbids point that people are overly sensitive fucking idiots.

I'm uncomfortable with the dog show movie ... Why try to normalise unwanted sexual touching and why market it too children ?

That part of the movie could have been easily omitted .... like there is a dog ... he tries really hard , even though he doubts himself ... he doesn't give up, he perseveres, and he wins the prize. Why did dick touching have to be a part of it ???? I would have walked out too.
And if the writers were close by I would have punched them in the face on the way out for thinking for one second that I wouldn't notice or react.

I think Morbid's point is all the more proven by the fact that everyone here has gotten this worked up about this and not a single person here has actually seen the scene in question. I think at this point everyone is making these judgments based off of the same basic article, by an author that hasn't seen the movie either. I don't know much about this scene. It could be a 5 second scene or 45 seconds, which in my mind could make a big difference.

Lolita (1997), Pretty Baby, and other movies have had (simulated) sex scenes with girls that were supposed to be around 12yrs or younger. Somehow they were all somewhat accepted by society.

In my case you're right ... you're right about Lolita, and pretty baby, being somewhat accepted too, pedos and like minded people loved those movies ... and unfortunately they are part of our society. The sensible people in our society didn't buy a ticket ...or other wise took a stand by boycotting, which is probably the best way to fight the power. Children are not sexual objects ... are they beautiful ... yes they are. But do we want people to assume that they're available for sex ... No we don't. At least not at our house ... maybe its different at @morbids ? All I know for sure is I resent the assumption that I'm uptight or a pearl clutcher for expressing my point of view or otherwise knowing that somethings are private ... or just plain wrong and that without limits or boundaries we're doomed.

I hate TV anyway ... Some of the content is good ... (funny) Fucking fabreeze commercials, those are pretty condescending things aren't they ? You smell bad ... your kids and your pets stink. They pretty much call you a dirty pig and then ask you to give them money. (JOKES ... how about you get the fuck out of my house fabreeze ...CLICK. POWER OFF!) Over all the idea of TV scares me because its called programming, and I'm not a fucking robot, I can think for myself.

Such bullshit. It wasn't a problem then and it isn't one now. You are MAKING IT ONE. It is 100 percent manufactured outrage. It's funny... when the Republicans pushed for the censorship of "devil music" horror movies, rap and video games, people screamed bloody murder because they were fucking sane in thinking that it was all pearl-clutching nonsense.

Now? How the tables have turned. Fortunately, the people trying to remove things they are offended by or they find "problematic" are in the minority. Unfortunately, they are the loudest.

the pmrc was tipper gore's vie for control over music. al's wife but no, the repubs were not innocent either.

The fake outrage is hilarious. Mad Men had a more explicit scene in their show and no one said shit about it being child pornography. I can't wait until the Age of the Offended is fucking over.
Reading the article, this seemed more like some kind of political attack against Netflix than any real "offense" at it's content, but I do agree with your point.

Oh yeah. There wasn't any because that was 2010 and people hadn't lost their goddamn minds yet. :p

I completely agree with you Morbid on the points made, but you got to admit that 2010 was getting weird -

In 2010, the Culpeper County, Virginia school system banned the 50th Anniversary "Definitive Edition" of Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, due to "complaints about its sexual content and homosexual themes."[48] This version "includes passages previously excluded from the widely read original edition.... Some of the extra passages detail her emerging sexual desires; others include unflattering descriptions of her mother and other people living together."[49] After consideration, it was decided a copy of the newer version would remain in the library and classes would revert to using the older version.

In 2013, a similar controversy arose in a 7th grade setting in Northville, Michigan, focusing on explicit passages about sexuality.[50] The mother behind the formal complaint referred to portions of the book as "pretty pornographic."[51]

The American Library Association stated that there have been six challenges to the book in the United States since it started keeping records on bans and challenges in 1990, and "Most of the concerns were about sexually explicit material".[49]

I cancelled my account awhile back as soon as they started working on their woke agenda.
They are playing both sides against the middle! I just keep buying more stock, it was up almost 20% last week alone.

I was pissed too about the Harry and Meghan thing until I realized it was all a PR scam and they used the amount of the contract to hype everything up then cancelled all their ideas after the paltry 6 episode show and made them look like ass hats that sold themselves out. They'll cut the contract short, as they have nothing to offer Netflix.
