Beloved Curmudgeon

This one has it all: punching, spitting, slapping, weave pulling, old mother falls while joining the fracas, crying toddlers.

The Anaheim Police Department said everyone involved in the fight belonged to the same family and that they were uncooperative when officers responded to the scene.

Those who participated in the melee were removed from the theme park and turned over to police, according to Liz Jaeger, a spokeswoman for the Disneyland Resort.

[...]
The incident apparently began with an argument between a brother and sister, Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt told the Associated Press.

The family members were standing near Goofy’s Playhouse on Saturday when a man and a woman pushing a stroller with two children in it became embroiled in a heated argument, according to the nearly 4 1/2-minute video posted to YouTube on Sunday.

[...]
The verbal altercation turned physical when a woman in a white tank top appeared to spit at a man in a red T-shirt, who then took a swing at her, the widely viewed footage showed.

They could be seen hitting each other before a man in a white T-shirt intervenes, and the two men trade blows. A woman wearing a tan tank top comes forward and starts yelling at them before becoming a part of the fracas.

[...]
A woman in a motorized scooter – apparently the mother of one of the men – tries to break up the fight, and later is seen being inadvertently knocked over when two other women start throwing punches at each other. One of those women is also knocked to the ground after being slapped in the face and grabbed by her tank top by the man in red.

“I’m ready to go to jail tonight!” he says as several parkgoers try to help the woman.

The woman in tan shouts something, and then the man – who can be heard saying something about the woman hitting his mother – goes over and starts beating her, the video shows.

That’s when several bystanders step in and take the man down.

I don't even know what to say about this besides "Wow."

Family drama is the worst drama.

The picture I have in my head, though, since the headline says this happened in Toon Town, is this family fighting each other with cartoon sledgehammers and stuff like that.

A guy gets punched, and the cartoon birds are circling around his head...

I'm weird. I know this.

Are those Acme sledgehammers?

Wow, guy in the red shirt needs a goddamn Xanax. He REALLY wants to go to jail, huh?

I always find it very ridiculous when people keep repeating generic insults like "dumb ass bitch" oooover and oover... The person they're talking to clearly doesn't care. It becomes like a weird tic or something. Does that really make angry people feel better??

The body of the woman in the white tank top is fascinating.

How can you physically get an ass THAT big and jiggly, but have just above average sized tits? Even her belt quit the battle, and she writhed around on the pavement like a beached whale after knocking down Wheelchair Woman..

How did that one girl's weave stay on as tall pink dude kept pulling?

So much trash, so many mysteries.

I’m actually mesmerized at the “background people”.
1. The custodian in white with his sweeper just popping into the frame every few seconds
2. The androgynous person at 1:18 in the right corner of the screen wearing yellow and blue
3. The Asian looking man in a checkered shirt and some sort of walking cane scattin and bee boppin in and out of the chaos
Maybe it’s because I’ve never been to Disney or wherever this is...it’s all so much to take in...fascinating, really. :spy:

I'm super confused because people keep changing sides.

Does anyone know if this is one family all related somehow or two families that just happened to offend each other enough to Duke it out.

It seems the the guy in the red shirt and the lady in the tan top were on the same side of the fight. Then later dude beats her up.

Really confusing.

@Keepalowprofile When the video begins, it is a brother and sister arguing. They are all related by blood or marriage.
Those toddlers on the fringe are frightened because their entire adult family are indulging in yelling fisticuffs.
I created the thread not to illustrate how some black families love to fight, but to show the real crime: how some people see no problem shunting their babies to the side in order to fight amongst themselves. Even after paying the giant entry fee to Disneyland!
The raw video clip is depressing, but a great learning tool. Watch it a few times and focus on one individual, then watch again focusing on another. It is a cornucopia of human misbehavior whether a passive witness or a perpetrator.
Do what you like but don't frighten the children, pets, or livestock. There is plenty of wiggle room for drama within those perameters. SHEESH

The Orange County (Calif.) District Attorney's Office on Tuesday announced that multiple felonies and misdemeanors had been filed against numerous people after video of a large, brutal fight at Anaheim's Disneyland went viral.

The fight occurred earlier this month at Toon Town. Those involved were originally only cited that day, but after brawl made national news due to the disturbing video, authorities said they were investigating further.

Avery Desmond-Edwinn Robinson, 35, was charged with five felonies and nine misdemeanors for allegedly attacking his sister, brother-in-law and girlfriend, endangering his child and three other children, and threatening to kill members of his family, according to the district attorney's office.

Robinson, according to authorities, is also accused of assaulting a Disneyland employee with his vehicle after the family was escorted out of the park by security. He is also facing one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury on a woman, according to the D.A.'s office.

In addition, Robinson is facing one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon and two felony counts of criminal threats. He is also facing five misdemeanor counts of battery and four misdemeanor counts of child abuse and endangerment.

If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of seven years and four months in state prison. He is currently being held at the Orange County Jail.

Robinson’s sister, Andrea Nicole Robinson, 40, is facing five misdemeanor charges, including four misdemeanor charges of battery for allegedly attacking her brother Avery, his girlfriend and a Disneyland employee, according to the district attorney's office. She is also facing one count of misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking her brother’s girlfriend. She faces a maximum of two-and-a-half years in jail if convicted on all counts.

Daman Petrie, 44, is facing one misdemeanor count of battery, according to authorities. Petrie, who is married to Andrea Robinson, is accused of punching Avery Robinson’s girlfriend in the face during the melee and faces a maximum of six months in jail if convicted.
