A woman who had seven of her children taken away from her by social workers as she was considered unable to parent a child safely or adequately is pregnant once again.

The woman who is in her late 20s and cannot be named will be giving birth to her eighth child later on this year, judge Stephen Wildblood heard.

The woman's parenting capabilities have been assessed and investigated several times over the years and each assessment concluded that she was not able to parent a child safely or adequately, the judge shared.

He also complimented and praised the "enormous efforts" which were made by social workers who had done all they could to see whether she could care for a child with professional support.

The woman reportedly has "learning limitations". She has also led a "very unsettled" life and has experienced "much distress and hardship."

The judge added that the woman is not able to focus and prioritize the needs of her children or "take charge".

The judge further added that, in the last stage of litigation, he had ruled that the woman's seventh child should be given up for adoption.

He had also concluded that the woman's current partner, who was the father of the seventh child, could not care for the child either as he had a number of health issues.

Judge Wildblood said, "Over the years there have been many assessments, of many different kinds, of (the woman's) ability to parent," reported Mirror.

"Each assessment has concluded that she does not have the ability to parent a child safely or adequately. The mother keeps getting pregnant despite the many difficulties that she, her partners and her children face. She has given birth to seven children in 10 years and now is due to have another child... that will mean eight children in 11 years," he continued.

There used to be a woman around here like that, except she didn't have any disabilities. She had about 12 babies, at the time I knew of her, and she gave every one of them to someone else the minute she got out of the hospital with them. It's like she was running a one stop shopping adoption center, someone put in an order and about 9 months later went to get their baby. The only name I ever knew her by was her nickname: Mellow Yellow, believe it or not.
