Thrash titans Megadeth have a 35th anniversary greatest-hits set coming out on March 22nd, and it is a monster. Clocking in at 35 tracks, Warheads On Foreheads is a weighty 3-CD retrospective that spans their entire career.
Not content with that, Megadeth frontman/founder Dave Mustaine has teamed up with the graphic novel heavyweights at Heavy Metal Magazine to create a behemoth graphic anthology that explores "the universe of Megadeth and its harrowed mascot, Vic Rattlehead" as viewed through the lens of various classic Megadeth tunes.
Each chapter was produced by a different team of Heavy Metal talent, and each takes a different song for its theme. Details on the chapters, including the creative team members and sample artwork, are available in the source article at bleedingcool.com. It honestly looks fantastic; I would not expect anything less from Heavy Metal Magazine.
Death By Design is a 350-page mammoth in 12.25” x 12.25” prestige album format, and will be released on June 5th. It will be available by itself, and bundled with Warheads On Foreheads in three different premium packages.
