LaGRANGE, Mo. -- Charges have been upgraded against a LaGrange man who was arrested Friday for allegedly endangering the welfare of a 2-year-old child who was hospitalized in Quincy, Ill., with severe injuries.
Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish said Tuesday that Marcus A. Mays, 34, was formally charged this week with abuse or neglect of a child.

Parrish said Mays allegedly caused the child "to suffer serious physical injury to the head" by striking the child numerous times with his hand.

The child was taken Friday to Blessing Hospital in Quincy and listed in critical condition.

A multijurisdictional police investigation into possible child abuse was launched after the LaGrange Police Department received information that a child was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

The investigation led authorities to Mays.

A search warrant was issued by the Associate Circuit Court in Lewis County, and a search of Mays' residence -- a trailer in LaGrange -- was conducted. Parrish said several items were found related to a possible charge of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class D felony.

A motion to reduce the bond for Marcus Mays who is charged in the August 2018 death of a toddler has been denied.

Mays, 35, is charged with second-degree murder, abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death, endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs and possession of a controlled substance in the Aug. 21 death of 2-year-old Taylen Allen.

Taylen died Aug. 21 at St. Louis Children's Hospital. An autopsy found that she died from a closed-head injury.

Mays reportedly told police during an interview that he was angry with the girl, who was in his care, because she soiled her pants. He reportedly pushed her into a toilet and struck her on the buttocks with a belt and struck her in the head with the back of his hand numerous times, causing head injuries.

A manual needs to be created for all the professional DOTMs and Penis-sitters before they choose a new pussy to move into that has a two-year-old.

  • two year olds shit their pants.
  • two year olds are testing their limits
  • the two-year-old knows you are a piece of shit
  • your not the first loser the mother has hooked up with and the 2-year-old knows you will not be the last.

Marcus Mays, 38, was sentenced to life without parole on the first degree murder charge for the 2018 death of two year old Taylen Allen, according to news sources. Mays was convicted of the murder on August 26, 2022, along with eight other felonies, including seven child abuse felonies.
