"Brooke Mashay Tollie, 24, was reported missing on May 13. Her remains were uncovered June 5 at a construction site in the Golden Valley community of Bostic in Rutherford County.

Manis said Norris Lewis Westall, 46, and Tollie were at Westall’s home on May 13 and 14 when Tollie died.

He said Westall took Tollie’s body to the construction site, an area he was familiar with, and buried her.

Westall is charged with concealment of human remains.

Preliminary autopsy reports showed no traumatic injuries to Tollie’s body, Manis said.

The exact cause of death is still unknown and is pending the outcome of toxicology testing."

At the time of his arrest Tuesday evening, June 11, Westall was also served with outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Silver Alert had been issued for Tollie, who was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

In case anyone else is wondering about Silver Alerts and who is covered under them.

Activation criteria for Silver Alerts vary from state to state. Some states limit Silver Alerts to persons over the age of 65 who have been medically diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or a mental disability. Other states expand Silver Alert to include all children and adults with mental or developmental disabilities. In general, the decision to issue a Silver Alert is made by the law enforcement agency investigating the report of a missing person. Public information in a Silver Alert usually consists of the name and description of the missing person and a description of the missing person's vehicle and license plate number, e.g. David Smith GRN 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada FL LIC 989 ARN.

Maybe they meant 42 and not 24, because 24 is really young for dementia. 42 is also but makes more sense.
