YouTuber Logan Paul is being sued for more than $3.5 million for torpedoing a planned movie with his disturbing “suicide forest” video, according to a report.

Production company Planeless Pictures claimed in court papers obtained by People magazine that it had a deal to make a film with the 25-year-old vlogger playing himself.

The production already had a $3.5 million deal with Google — but it was scuttled amid the huge backlash to Paul’s 2017 video of a dead body in Japan’s notorious “suicide forest,” the report said.

“Google determined that the suicide broadcast was a noncurable event pursuant to its agreement with Planeless,” the documents said.

“As a result, Planeless never received the compensation that Google was contractually obligated to pay to it — $3,500,000,” the documents claimed, according to the mag.

The movie — a parody on social media influencers titled “Airplane Mode” — was expected to be a huge draw as it starred other huge online stars, including Paul’s brother Jake as well as Juanpa Zurita, Nick Bateman, Amanda Cerny and Casey Neistat, the company said.

Yet Paul “knew that the broadcast of the suicide would have a substantial impact on his followers and would also have a serious adverse impact on Planeless,” the lawsuit reportedly claimed.

Paul has repeatedly apologized for the suicide clip, insisting he posted it to raise awareness of suicide and not “for the views.”

Bestowing a title of famous on these cock knockers is wrong.
They are infamous at best and contribute nothing to society in their endless pursuit of likes, upvotes and followers.

Modern man just seems to regress more every year.
I have become quite aware of what makes for a decent celebrity and most folks just don't have it nowadays.
In short. Fuck em! :finger:

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Planeless claims they were all set to have Logan star in, write and help produce the flick, and he'd agreed to help get other influencers on board as well, including Jake Paul, Juanpa Zurita, Nick Bateman, Amanda Cerny and others. The idea was that they'd distribute it through YouTube and other social media platforms -- via said influencers' pages -- in a new, revolutionary way to market and monetize the film.
I think they are more pissed about not having the influencers in their back pocket and the potential of a corner stronghold..

I don't grasp how they have a case here. They knew the type of douche this idiot was before going into business with him. If they were surprised by the type of doucher stunts/pranks he pulled, that's their own fault for not properly vetting/researching him. His entire persona/career is based around shit like that shit where he antagonized and bullied all those people in Japan and mocked their entire culture, and it's par for the course of who he is and what he does. If you chose to do business with someone like that, you should be prepared for potential shitshows like this.
