Perusing the PJC for updates on the latest version of horrible ways to use a car seat I found the byline of Mr. Kravetz, a new friend of the den methinks, on this humdinger as well;
Linda K. Wagner, 52 is facing "a single count of permitting the sexual abuse of a child, a felony that carries a maximum of 15 years in prison. Her boyfriend, Robert D. Luke, 50, 709 S. Matthew St., was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and faces up to seven years behind bars."
"During the bond hearing, Luke shouted profanities and angrily protested his innocence when Assistant State's Attorney Steve Pattelli gave a probable case statement....Wagner and the boy, 13, were staying with Luke off and on since the beginning of the year, something that isn't allowed because Luke is a registered sex offender....Luke had the boy perform sex acts on him and would grope and fondle him, the prosecutor said, prompting Luke's courtroom outburst."
It turns out there is a good Samaritan in this tale;
"Another person living at the South Matthew Street address allegedly told police she saw Luke and the boy engaged in sexual activity and told them to stop."
Good if you grade your Samaritans on a curve anyway.
