ery good friends."

The doctors said hands-on manipulation of the pelvic region was a legitimate osteopathic technique. They also said that while they personally only performed it over a patient's clothing, there could be a benefit to skin-to-skin contact — leading the school to conclude what happened was "not sexual in nature."

• The report found some of Nassar's behavior during the appointment "problematic" and concluded the patient had suffered "trauma," but a subsequent performance review made no reference to the complaint or the investigation.

Amanda said that early in the exam, she felt uncomfortable about how Nassar was handling her, but there was a female resident in the room, so she wasn't alarmed. But after he sent the resident elsewhere, Amanda said, he began manipulating her breast and "made an off-hand comment about how my boyfriend needed to give me better massages."

He asked her to lie face-down on a table and "he pulled the sweatpants down and started massaging around my butt and then slipped his finger in between my legs," she said.

"I was paralyzed with fear and frozen."

When he started to insert his fingers into her vagina, Amanda said, she pushed him off and told him to stop. She said he was clearly aroused and rushed to a corner and stood with his back to her.

"I knew that what he was doing to me was sexual," she said. "I wanted to get out of the room as fast as I could."

Nassar insisted she make a follow-up appointment, but she called his office to cancel, explaining that she thought he was "inappropriate" with her, she said.

Former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor Larry Nassar pleaded guilty to seven counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree on Nov. 22 and three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree on Nov. 29.

Over 125 women have accused Nassar of sexually abusing them while they were minors. Many of his victims were top-tier gymnasts, including Olympians Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney.

The 54-year-old Nassar pleaded guilty to the first seven charges in Ingham County court in Mason, Michigan, on Nov. 22. According to The Detroit News, four of the seven charges involved two victims who were under the age of 13; each of those four charges carries a minimum sentence of 25 years. The remaining charges each carry sentences up to life in prison.

Michigan Assistant Attorney General Angela Povilaitis said that all of Nassar’s 125 victims were contacted and approved of the plea agreement, adding that the women were “ecstatic” and “very relieved” with the plea.

In a statement to the court, Nassar said he’s “so horribly sorry” for what he did and he hopes the victims and the community can heal.

On Nov. 29, Nassar plead guilty to three more counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree during a hearing at Eaton County court in Charlotte, Michigan. Two of the victims were under 16 at the time the abuse took place, and the third was under 13.

Sentencing for the first seven counts of criminal sexual conduct will take place at 9 a.m. on Jan. 12, at which point victims will be allowed to give their impact statements. Sentencing for the three other counts of criminal sexual conduct will take place later in January.

The first allegation against Nassar came out in September 2016, and he was subsequently fired from USA Gymnastics and his faculty position at Michigan State University. He was arrested last December for possessing at least 37,000 images of child pornography, and this July, he pleaded guilty to three federal counts relating to child pornography. His sentencing for those charges is set for Dec. 7.

... he should be locked in a bag with an angry cat. Tiger, maybe...

Or dick first through a sawmill.

Either way,

the guy needs to be castrated with something rusty.

Disgraced former Michigan State and USA Gymnastics team physician Larry Nassar was sentenced to a minimum of 40 years in a Michigan state prison Wednesday, bringing an end to a marathon sentencing hearing that featured statements from more than 150 girls and women who asserted he sexually abused them.

The sentence, which is part of a plea deal in which Nassar admitted to 10 sex assault charges in two Michigan counties, comes on top of a 60-year federal sentence Nassar, 54, also faces for child pornography crimes he pleaded guilty to last year.

In a statement before being sentenced, Nassar apologized to the victims, saying “There are no words that can express the depth and breadth of how sorry I am.” Afterward, Judge Rosemarie Aquilina read a letter Nassar had written to the court objecting to the length of the sentencing hearing.

Essentially he only got a year for each victim that testified. Sickening. And everyone is acting like the judge did such a great job and really sent a message. She sent a message alright, but not in a good way.

The university involved will snake out of any wrongdoing/penalties because the corrupt industry of higher education fucking RULES this country and ignorant society has voluntarily become its bitch.

For some reason I think this never got brought up on here. For some reason the search feature doesn't work at my office PC so merge this if there is already a thread.

This creep assaulted probably over 200 girls under the guise of "treatment". Apparently the cure for all ailments involved him breathing heavily and sticking his ungloved finger up girl vagina and anus's. These poor girls all thought he was the "best of the best" Dr.'s at USA Gymnastics and had no idea they were being abused at the time.

I thought it was awesome the judge said, "“You are no longer victims. You are survivors. You’re very strong.”

The sentencing comes after almost 7 days of over 150 girl and women giving victim impact statements.

He wasn’t on trial for all 150 girls. The judge gave the girls whose cases may not be prosecuted an opportunity to give an impact statement. So she might have given them their only chance to confront this pervert in court. Good on ya, Judge!

Justice served.

Not even close.

Unless he is sexually assaulted 150 times whilst incarcerated.

Nothing can ever cancel out being raped as a child...or ever. Fucking NOTHING. You learn to live and move on, but even if your rapist is sentenced....it is never true justice.

But I agree, it is the best we have got.

THis loser will NEVER make it in the big house.
Odds on him committing suicide in his cell. Hopefully
after a few inmates pull a train on his pathetic ass.

How the hell does it get that far? Something allows these monsters to go on abusing a long time after they should have been shut down, and we need to find out what it is and stop it.

The answer is silence.

If you're so fucking sorry, why are you so concerned about the time, you ain't never gonna get out and you will never be in a position to abuse anybody else, so your sentence is only a number, you will not get out alive, if justice is served correctly.

He wasn't objecting to the length of his sentence, he was objecting to the length of the hearing: he did not want to have to sit through all the victim impact statements - which is much worse, fucking coward!

Michigan State official arrested amid Larry Nassar probe

LANSING, Mich. -- A Michigan State University official who oversaw Larry Nassar was arrested Monday amid an investigation into the handling of complaints against the former sport doctor, who is in prison for sexually assaulting patients under the guise of treatment. William Strampel was in jail pending an arraignment Tuesday, Ingham County Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth told The Associated Press. He declined to say what charges Strampel was facing because the probe is being led by the Michigan attorney general's office.

Disgraced former sports doctor Larry Nassar was assaulted by inmates at the Arizona penitentiary where he is serving a de facto life sentence after pleading guilty to sexual assault and child pornography charges, according to court documents.

Nassar was "physically attacked" within hours after being released into the general population at the United States Penitentiary in Tucson, Arizona, according to documents filed Tuesday by Nassar's attorneys in Ingraham County Circuit Court.

Nassar's attorneys are asking that he be re-sentenced by a different judge in the first of the molestation cases he face. Nassar, 54, who is serving a 60-year federal sentence for possessing child pornography, was also sentenced to up to 175 years in state prison for molesting seven girls.
