The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at 5:45 p.m. Saturday to a shooting call. Once on the scene, they found Warkeisha Renata Caddell, 38, lying dead in her trailer from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
A short time later, 38-year-old Korrie Donnell Robinson called authorities claiming responsibility for her death. He turned himself in to investigators.
In court documents made public Monday, investigators said Robinson admitted to shooting Caddell during a domestic argument. He told them she pushed him to the floor and he thought she was going for a knife. He then shot her.
Robinson is charged with murder. He remains held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $50,000.
