A student teacher who had been working at Perry Heights Middle School is accused of falsely reporting a threat of violence to the school.

Jennifer Kay Fritz, a 23-year-old University of Southern Indiana student, turned herself in to Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department investigators Friday morning.

She is accused of sending to Perry Heights an e-mail, which stated that the sender had heard and observed a group of young males discussing an attack on the school.

The e-mail, according to a news release from Sheriff Eric Williams, was sent April 10 and "implied that the group of males was armed with handguns, and that they were heard saying 'we will be famous' and 'Perry Heights will never know what hit them.'"
