An undocumented immigrant has been sentenced to 401 years-to-life in prison after being found guilty of multiple violent sex crimes against a family.

Macario Cerda, 39, was convicted in California, of three counts of forcible rape against two victims between 2009 and 2013, the Tulare County District Attorney's Office reports.

He was also sentenced on one count of kidnapping to commit rape, seven counts of lewd acts upon a child under the age of 14, and one count of criminal threats, on January 17.

Prosecutors said Cerda was in a relationship with the victims’ mother when on February 26, 2013, he forced one of the victims into his van and drove her to a remote location.

The Tulare County District Attorney said Cerda then raped her while threatening to harm members of her family.

Court reports said the victim's mother called the police after ringing the victim's mobile phone and overhearing yelling.

As Cerda temporarily exited the van, the victim seized her opportunity to escape and jumped into the driver's seat before driving away.

Cerda was later arrested by Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies. During the investigation, it was discovered that the victim had been raped by Cerda when she was a minor in 2010.

The victim became pregnant and gave birth to a baby as a result of the attack, prosecutors say.

The victim’s youngest sister also accused Cerda of rape and abuse beginning in 2009 when she was just a child.

He was also found to have prior convictions for felony domestic violence and criminal threats against the victims' mother.

Cerda was deported but returned five months later to commit these crimes, according to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office.

The youngest victim bravely spoke out at Cerda's sentencing and pleaded with the judge to not deport him as she feared he would return once again.

The Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward said in a statement: ‘[The victim] cautioned the judge to “never grant him any possibility at being deported because he has crawled his way back into the States illegally way too many times.”’

He added: ‘This family will never have to live in fear of Cerda returning to terrorize them again. He will be serving his remaining days in a California prison.’

Honestly, 401 years isn't enough. He'll get out before that. I can't imagine his face being the thing of nightmares I have as a child.
