Human Bones Found At Ventura County Beach

Coroner's officials and the sheriff's department are checking missing persons records for people who might match the profiles of two sets of human remains found over the weekend in Ventura County.
Authorities say bones found Saturday morning at Faria Beach County Park probably belonged to a middle-aged woman and a man found dead in the Ventura River is believed to be between 25 and 50.
A passerby found the man's decomposed body in the water near a small island just north of the railroad bridge, about two hours after the bones were discovered.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office says neither set of remains showed any sign of trauma. The cause of both deaths remains under investigation.
Authorities say the two cases are apparently unrelated.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office on Friday identified a man whose body was found in the Ventura River on May 1 as William “Billyâ€￾ Rambo.

Rambo’s badly decomposed body was found face down near the shore of a small island in the river just north of the railroad bridge in an area known as the Seaside Wilderness Park. A woman passing by discovered the body about 10:20 a.m. and alerted police.

Investigators were able to identify the 21-year-old Rambo through fingerprints and tattoos.

Baroni said there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body. Still, the Coroner’s Office has yet to determine an exact cause of death, Baroni said, as investigators await the results of toxicology tests.

So much for him being between 25 and 50...... And there was clearly more than bones left of him.

I wonder how they are doing with the identification of the middle-aged woman?
