This is the shocking moment a mother dumps her newborn baby in a dustbin before riding away on a motorcycle in Thailand.
The woman, named as 29-year-old Waraporn, gave birth on Wednesday in her apartment in Samut Prakan but quickly looked for a place to abandon the child.
CCTV footage caught her riding the motorcycle in a nearby city - with another of her children in the footwell - and parking in front of an industrial bin.
She is seen getting off the motorbike carrying a black package before dropping it behind a dustbin.
The child was left in the heat for around four hours until a bin man came to collect the waste and found the baby still alive inside a grey bag.
The young mother was found suffering from an unhealthy childbirth, languishing, cramping and bleeding excessively.
The police took her to hospital where she admitted abandoning her own child, saying she already had four children and that a fifth was too much.
She did not have enough money for food and milk to feed all her children, she claimed.
Waraporn said: 'My husband is a driver in another province. He only earns 10,000 baht (£251 or $318) a month which is not enough to raise a big family.
'I gave birth to him in the toilet and I had to cut the umbilical cord myself before I left the baby in Sampran district.
'I didn't mean to kill him. I left him there and hoped someone would find him and take care of him.
'I was worried somebody would see me so I left quickly. I regret what I did.'
