CUBA —
Following an investigation into child abuse and maltreatment by the Cuba Police Department and the Allegany County Child Protective Services , Cuba Police arrested the following:
Robert J. Merrill, 28, of Cuba for assault 2nd degree (Felony), 1 count of criminal possession of stolen property, and 1 count of endangering the welfare of a child. Merill was arraigned in front of Friendship Justice Schurr and sent to Allegany County Jail on $20,000 bail.
Heather J. Kaiser, 25, of Cuba for assault 2nd degree (Felony), 2 counts of petit Larceny, 2 counts of possession of stolen property, and 1 count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Casey Quick, 23, of Cuba for assault 2nd degree (Felony), 2 counts of petit Larceny, 2 counts of possession of stolen property, and 1 count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Kaiser and Quick were both arraigned at the Cuba Town Court by Justice Keough and sent to Allegany County Jail on $15,000 bail.
These charges stem from the alleged abuse of children under the age of 11 years old in the Town of Cuba. The larceny charges stem from alleged complaints of larcenies that took place in the Town of Cuba.
